Faith Requires Absence: How to Trust God When Promises Feel Distant"

my leaders my leaders my leaders thank you for joining me today I'm inspired and I'm excited to give you this word and this message because I just got off the phone with a close brother in Christ in the spirit we're close in the spirit and when I say we're close in the spirit I mean we haven't spoken to each other in forever but when we got on this phone call we were like that and he invited me to be one of the groomsmen and I can't share his story but his story definitely inspires what I'm about to talk about right here and it's something I was thinking about today as

I was reading my word earlier and it's really about moving in faith faith okay when I heard this testimonial in this story of how him and his wife got together and how God moved it reminded me once again of how powerful it is to really move in faith like God really wants to do things for us that completely blow our mind and he's able to do these things because the Bible tells us that what's impossible to man is possible to God therefore you can't put the Lord in some type of box which is why it's impossible to please God without having faith so we're going to go to the definition

of faith in the Bible this is why I do ministry work this is my favorite verse in the Bible my favorite chapter in the Bible is Hebrews chapter 11 because it talks about faith and it gives account in record of all the things that were accomplished through faith now we know love is the first thing that's the number one importance even before Faith but faith is right next to it okay and it's so important so he father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Lord father we thank you for this time we thank you for this hour we thank you for this day Lord we thank you for this video

Lord I'm praying for my leader that they'll be able to take something from this word today and it will spark something I'm trying to ignite them in the area of Faith because somebody needs fith to see beyond where they are right now in this situation it's the end of the year and there's a lot of things that are coming against so many different Believers both good both bad so Lord I pray that you would speak to us today that you ignite Us in the area of Faith use your words God to speak to this leader in Jesus name amen I want you to go to Hebrews 11:1 and I want

us to read this verse right here it says now Faith is the substance of things hope for in the evidence of things not seen one of the reasons why I love this verse so much my leader is because faith in order to truly know in true honesty that you are operating in in faith there has to be the absence of something that's in your now I want say that again in order for you to know that you're truly operating in in faith in Jesus Christ and for what he is going to do in your life there has to be the absence of something how do we know it says that

now Faith is the substance of things hoped for so something I'm looking forward to but it's also the evidence of Things Not Seen and what does that mean it says for by it the elders obtain a good report in verse three it says through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear so things which are seen are made from things which do not appear in the book of of Genesis when God creates this world you see that he spoke things into existence that were once not there and I'm reminded just through

this story with my brother in Christ of how he began to speak and pray things to God that align with his will and he was asking the Lord truly for something that was not in his environment you know he's looking for his wife his wife is not present and it's been been years but he's having faith that in this hope for a tomorrow where one day the very thing that he's praying for that he does not see will one day appear and I got to talk about my own situation because I really realized that it's been 10 years my latest 10 years since I had a regular job the type

of jobs that I've had has been me looking to do business or I say looking to do business cuz none of my businesses have truly on from a financial perspective have been completely completely successful but I've been doing that inside gigs but while doing that part of me had always wanted this big Financial provision that I know is going to come it's been it's been prophesied it's been promised to me but like Abraham who's promised to be the father of many nations he's going years and years and years and years without ever seeing a child he's making promises to his wife that the Lord I know the Lord spoke to

me the Lord literally has declared that we're going to I'm going to be a father of many nations but in the midst of the evidence of Things Not Seen if I just or they just focus on the evidence of the reality that they have no kids that they haven't had one that Sarah's womb is Barren if they just look at that reality without having a hope or a word from God I can understand why they would be in a space of depression because what it the reality would be is maybe I'm always going to be stuck in the position that I'm in right now similar to Abraham but a different

scenario would be myself there's always been a financial space that I've always wanted to go to even before I got married within this decade I wanted to be somewhere financially and I know that the promis is there I'm doing the work I'm working diligently but I'm still not seeing what I want to see Abraham and Sarah they're not seeing what they want to to see but the substance of things for hope for so now Faith is the substance of things hope for the beautiful thing about faith and the beautiful thing about God is God when you are surrendered and you are submitted to the Lord he's going to like Abraham

and all of the men in the Bible Prophet he's going to give you a word he's going to give you a promise sometimes the promise is a warning but God is going to give it to you and when he gives it to you you are to hold on to the now Faith is the substance of things hoped for hold on to what you're hoping for because now my leader you're not hoping for that thing by yourself you're hoping for that thing in the Lord and God has his own chronological order of how he likes to do things so for me for instance I thought hey when I have all this

money I'm then I'll be able to get married when I blow up in my business when I'm speaking on stages around the globe or when my film business my videography production business when it takes all when I have the finances and when I have the money then I'll be able to successfully go towards marriage but the thing is even back then when I was making money money doesn't just automatically drop draw the wife that God has for you it's going to draw some women it's going to draw some people but it's not necessarily going to draw the thing that is going to be what's from God it's your faith it's

your submission It's Your Surrender and what we tend to do during those times is to take take things into our own own hands and this is what Abraham and Sarah did Sarah she believed believes that okay I know that God is going to bring this child but she moves in haste and she takes it into her own consideration and tries to make not even tries she makes her husband sleep with another woman they bear a child but that child was out of the will of God we see that the Lord would eventually bless them with an actual child the one that he promised them with and when I'm reading that

story I got to think about myself and I got to think about my now Faith is the substance of things hope for God I know that you're going to bring the provision provision financially but the evidence right now seems like Lord I ain't got no money like I don't have no finances what do I do in this scenario we could be like Sarah holy spirit thank you and take things into our own hands and we can start moving in haste like yo I got to do this I got to do that but eventually if you move like that you're going to give birth to something that was outside of the

will of God I do not want to give birth to something that's outside of the will of God during these 10 years What the Lord Has revealed to me I didn't know it was 10 years until like a few days ago talking to a sister in Christ and a brother in Christ throughout these 10 years years of me doing the best that I can to surrender knowing that God has already given me a promise leaving the major that I was in back at the time which was pre Pharmacy only did it for the money at the time which is why I didn't make it through the pre- pharmacy program my

heart wasn't in it my spirit wasn't in it and it wasn't in line with with what I believe right now which is even herbalism natural medicine see I didn't even know I like natural medicine or herbalism because I wasn't lined up with Christ I didn't even I didn't even know that's a whole another story for a whole another video but throughout that time of being surrendered to Christ the lord what he continues to share in the Bible a lot of times you see do not grow weary in wello and he tells us to not grow weary in this Faith walk because there's times where we're going to want to give

up there's just time where you want to [Applause] [Applause] say God this is not for me this struggle is too much and that's one of the areas that I wrestle with Within These this decade is because although God has been delivering me from so many different Spirits he's shown me my path in life I know what I'm here to do I know my mission in life to motivate and Inspire faith and confidence in each individual that I meet so that they can go towards the calling that God has gifted them if I'm not doing that I'm out of the alignment with God but even in being in alignment with that

mission and the provision that God has promised that I'm going to have I've had to hold on to it because I have not been able to see that type of provision the way that I wanted to see it but then the Lord made me reflect on this last 10 years and he made me see that Michael you haven't been without I've always provided for you the reason you're speaking right now and you're still alive today is because I've been with you you've gotten shelter you've always had food when you needed money I gave you money but while you on this Mission I sent you to so many people that you

needed to pray for folks that needed Deliverance folks that needed support I've even LED you to your wife during this time because Michael your order is is out of my order and my order say I want to bless you with your wife even though you don't have what you think you need to have this is what you need right now go for it and I'm reminded of my my boy that I just spoke to the way and that God gifted him his wife how it's come the speed in which it's came this is God he held on and just holding on and not settling for things and it reminds me

even if I'm spitting this message to you to not settle for things just because I feel like I got to move right now you don't got to move right now you don't got to move with haste because when you wait on God it's going to be absolutely perfect and I'm thinking about my marriage now okay God I got this wife now how do I take care of my wife I thought I was supposed to have this this this this this and the Lord shows me we've been married for over a year bless my wife and as I continuously do ministry work in hopes of in the future becoming a past

P God has provided the provision you know this may not be the biggest platform we got over 500 something plus videos in this platform right now but me thinking that this channel was supposed to just blow up the way that I thought was going to blow up years ago me just being faithful in Ministry God has set me up with so many people so many connections so many relationships you know sometimes in the comment section y' may see a sister in Christ shout out to n marene earlier days yall saw my wife in the comments so many different people in the comments that are now like I'm close to he

sent me something that's way more valuable than the fiia currency in which I was looking to obtain he sent me relationships people I can fellowship with individuals I can cry with folks that going to pray for me when times get rough people that want to support they give they don't give out of pity they give out of a cheerful heart God was showing me throughout this decade this 10 years how to also give the same way how do I give with a kind heart how do I give in that manner how do I give when I barely have it myself there's been so much that we've been through things like

eviction things like like repossessions even in the same year where hey you Serv in a church you're serving other folks you barely have money you're still giving it what God showed me is he's still provided and he uses things like in the word he uses different scenarios to get you to align with his will to construct you the thing is my leaders although you are believing you are following Christ I want you to understand the Bible Jesus tells us specifically that it is through suffering that he was made perfect we see that in Hebrews 5 but also he tells us that the righteous will suffer much Affliction we are going

to suffer for the name of Christ but the word says cons consider it pure joy almost bit my tongue he said consider it pure joy when You Face Trials of many kinds this is in the Book of James chapter one so we're going to experience these trials and what are these trials doing according to James is to literally perfect our faith it's to produce a level of patience that you would have you would not have otherwise it's to produce that so you will experience trials and the word speaks about these trials are you participating in the suffering of Christ so that through these trials I can experience a sense of

what Jesus Christ experience if who am I to live a perfect life with no struggle when even my Lord and Savior Jesus experienced this the word says that a servant is not greater than his master so my master is going to experience suffering but I won't he said no you're going to experience it so through this 10 years there's been individuals who think hey Mike why you going through that why are you experiencing that and the beauty of it is I was not promis you and I I were not promised that we were not going to go through experiences and if we don't want to go through experiences in this

fake walk or don't expect to then you might as well stop walking this fake walk but you got to understand what the Trials come to do there was an individual job job in the Bible if you read read job if I go straight to job right now you going to see something that's kind of odd okay and many of you have probably seen it when we open the Book of Job job shouldn't have went through anything anything okay job if you read verse one it says this there was a man in the land of oo whose name was job and that man was perfect and upright and one that feared

God and ATU evil job in the text is a perfect an upright man who feared God he was a man of God but Jo in the Bible went through outside of Jesus some of the worst worst torment that anybody could think about going he lost everything his family murdered slaughtered and the word says that God allowed allowed this and you would think like Dam what what we see that he gets a double portion but during that trial during that testing his friends come and approach him he has three of them and they're really rebuking them because they're saying God doesn't do this to his people God doesn't make you experience

that you must have done this you must have done this and so what they're doing is they're condemning him we see this condemnation at play but let's read it again he was perfect he was upright and he feared God and he hated evil Jesus Christ the son of [Applause] [Applause] God God experience much Affliction so much so that he can connect and relate to all that we go through through emotionally why would Jesus have to come down and be perfected through suffering this this is a question that we must ask and I'm reminded that I must continuously keep my my faith even in the midst of going through trials and

tribulations like it says in Hebrews now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and it's the evidence of Things Not Seen Seen so as Believers you keep hearing these words whether it's from your Bible from God you hearing a word from me you're hearing a word from a prophet you're hearing a word from an apostle you're hearing a word from your pastor and he's continuously reassuring you that things will be okay he's looking to build up your faith and he's looking for you to continously have a hope for tomorrow to not get stuck in today he's not just speaking it's a Biblical principle and one of the worst things

that we can do as Believers is to not hope for a better tomorrow and not begin to pray and declare that your situation will be better than it is currently right now and that somehow God has a better root for you than you have for yourself when you're in this space of control you see Sarah wanted to be in control and disobeyed God and Abraham also disobeyed God by not hearing or heeding to the command and just waiting out for God to bring this child and him listening to his wife who was was worried she was just worried she was concerned she was tied she was fed up it makes

sense I can't say you and I wouldn't have done the same thing putting her circumstance because there's times where I've done the same thing it may not have been with a child but it's been times where I've moved because I was just impatient and because I needed the provision now or I move CU I was trying to prove a point to somebody else and that's also out of the will of God just because you are walking with Jesus does not mean you are going to suffer but the beauty is when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death you're not going to be walking through that Valley alone

you're walking with Jesus Shadrach mesach and abedo they were thrown into the fiery furnace and that's an example of being thrown into a valley of the shadow of death and while they were thrown into that that little fire the furnace as a form of punishment from the king at the time God covered them in the midst they had so much fi even though the evidence looked like they were going to be executed they had so much fith that the god that they serve was is going to deliver them out of this that's the type of Fate that we're looking for we talk about David and Goliath when you really look

into that story it was almost like David went into a valley the GOL away from his army challenged David's Army and it wasn't his army at the time it was Sal but when David goes into this what you would consider a valley in order to fight fight Goliath David has so much faith in the God that he served that there's no fear in him for the situation that's at hand he literally is operating in the now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and it was the evidence of something not seen he was faithful and my brother in Christ that call me today has been faithful and has seen

the promise and every single day that I'm faithful to God I'm seeing his promises come to pass eventually I just have to remain obedient and I just have to remain in faith I just have to remain in faith and if I'm remaining in faith I'm actually hopeful for a better tomorrow but the moment I stop hoping for a better tomorrow the moment I stopped having faith the moment I be begin to doubt that faith and say ah it's not going to come to pass no more that's the moment where now according to scripture you have upset God you you're not pleasing God God likes you to operate in faith check

this out this what the Lord revealed to me Michael and it's so funny cuz he put it in Hebrews what I like to call Hebrews November 6 November 11 November 6th is my birthday and I feel like he put it there for me so I can always remember in Hebrews 6 reads but without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him so it is impossible it says in the Bible to please God without faith God wants to see your obedience and he wants you to realize that okay if

the evidence of things are not here are you going to trust my word and for this past 10 years I believe my biggest challenge has been to keep trusting God even in the midst of me wanted to do certain things that I could have done to pile up the cash I could have racked it up he's like keep serving he's like keep loving he like get rid of that addiction yeah yeah yeah yeah put away the drugs that alcohol you love drinking so much the hard looking I need you to give that up too you're addicted to it those lustful images you like to look up I need you to

be cured from that God was so busy this past 10 years curing me for the things of the things that I was falling into of this world that now after 10 years he can have me do the thing that he wants me to do he can finally give me the money because now if he gave me the money before I would have probably spent it somewhere I shouldn't have spent it at I would have bought things I shouldn't have bought it bought with I would have destroyed my life had he given me the very thing that I was asking for so he said I'm going to cure you first and

then I'm going to give you the money cuz God is not an enabler he said if I'm going put put you towards a role of potentially being a of being a pastor if I'm going to put you towards a role of being a pastor I need to clean you up with certain things so that you're not a hypocrite when you up on that stage speaking or evangelizing around the world am I perfect till this day absolutely not but I tell you I'm way better than I was 10 years ago I was a hot head I had the most vulgar tongue in the United States of America my Ang anger was

0 to 100 real real quick I hated Authority you know I couldn't be humble and submit to my wife if I needed to serve her there's so many areas that I could list and I'll probably do that in another video but the fact of the matter is God had to deliver me of things for 10 years maybe why he didn't give Abraham and Sarah the child sooner wasn't just to test their fate even though he's called the father of our faith but maybe it was also to change his posture and maybe that's how long it took for his posture to be changed and ready to now have a son named

Isaac just maybe so my leaders now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and it's the evidence of things not seen God wants to Grant you those things that you praying for that lines up with his will we just got to continuously be hopeful and don't weary and wello keep believing for Jesus Christ to do what he's already done he's already finished it it's already been prepared and predestined beforehand you just have to be obedient enough to just keep walking towards it and eventually you going to have a testimonial that says had not been forgot heavenly father in Jesus mighty name Lord we just want to say we thank

you for this time this hour this word father I pray that that this leader has heard your voice and continues to remain in faith that they walk in faith more Lord that they realize that in walking in faith that they're pleasing you and when you are pleased oh God there's a reward that comes to those that diligently seek you so heavenly father let them meditate on Hebrews 11:1 let them meditate on the words of Hebrews November 6 let them meditate God and allow them to be set free and delivered there's some here as I'm praying that was feeling some anxiety there's somebody here that was experiencing some type of depression
