One of the principles again about the kingdom of God is like a man that has seed in which he scatters. Okay, which as we know the seed will be the word of God. As the word is being scattered, it's not up to us to worry about the increase to engineer the growth. The growth happens in the hidden place outside of my jurisdiction. I don't get to command the seed to grow. And he said it or be as somebody that should sleep. Sleep is resting. resting. And when I arise, I see that there's been growth. There's some type of growth.
And I'm reminded when I read that scripture that God is the one that engineers the growth. I don't got to concern myself with that. That's not my portion to worry about. Yeah, my leaders, my leaders, my leaders, thank you for joining Jasmic, home of the world's toughest leaders. If you've joined me today, I got a special word for you, a special assignment. I was praying yesterday at Starbucks and as I was praying, I asked the Lord very specifically.
I said, "Lord, what do you want me to actually do right now?" I was in the midst of getting ready to edit a video and the Lord stopped me and the Holy Spirit had me ask the question of what is it that God actually wants me to do? And within seconds, the word that popped out was communicate. communicate. The Lord wanted me to communicate. I had my phone on do not disturb for a few days and I had been completely backed up on text messages. And here I am trying to do all these other things. And the Lord is reminding me, Mike, I want you to respond to these messages.
I stop what I'm doing. I go to my phone and I'm just scrolling. I'm like, "Okay, that's what we're going to do. We're going to communicate. I'm going to send messages. I'm going to send voice audios." And this is something he had me do for a few days. And as I'm doing that, he prompts my spirit to just send words of encouragement out to these specific people. just send words of encouragement. That's all I want you to do. And I'm like, Lord, I got to finish this so I can launch this. I got to finish this project so I can send to this client.
I got to prepare this so I can be prepared for the client tonight. Lord, how can this be what I'm supposed to do? I feel like I don't have enough time. I got to get back so I can spend some time with my wife as well, too. Michael, Michael, do this one thing. And I'm reminded as I'm reading scripture, one scripture that pops out is the scripture of the result of what happened to me as I was pouring into others.
And Proverbs 11:25 says, "The liberal soul, the generous soul shall be made fat, but he that waterth shall be watered also himself." So here I am watering other people by sending words of encouragement. Something I love to do just to build people up and God giving you a word to prophesy to somebody's life. This is what I enjoy doing. And as I'm doing that, my soul is being healed. My soul is feeling like there's a peace that surpasses my understanding. And then as I'm sending it out, I'm getting messages back that are that are watering me.
So, I I went out and I went out to water others, but now I'm getting watered. watered. They send me words of encouragement. I'm receiving prayers. And it says, "He that waterth shall be watered also himself." And he showed me this. But mind you, this was not what I had intended to do. But see, God wanted me to water others. He wanted other people needed the encouragement that I said. They sent me messages like, "Hey, man. I didn't even know I needed that message, but I needed that message. I ain't never know I needed that word, but I needed that word.
And then I didn't realize I needed those the encouragement that was coming right back to me. I didn't know I needed the fellowship that I would be having to set up. I didn't know I needed that, but God knew I needed that. And it brings me to a verse in the book of Mark, chapter 4. It talks about what the kingdom of God is like. in Mark 4 verse 30 and it says where unto shall we liken the kingdom of God or what comparison shall we compare? So what shall we compare the kingdom of God?
And it says this verse 31, it is like a grain of mustard seed which when it is sown in the earth is less than all the seeds in the earth. But when it is sown, it growth up and become it greater than all herbs and shooteth out great branches so that the fouls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. And as I was doing my research on the mustard grain seed, what I learned is that during this time as Jesus is speaking this, many of those who were considered rabbis, masters, teachers, they would utilize the idea of the grain of mustard seed to symbolize something that was
very insignificant, extremely insignificant. There was a word that caught my attention. The mustard seed was despised. So, it's a seed that when you look at it, it's you despise it. You don't even want to go near it. That's not the seed that you would pick up. You wouldn't pick that seed up to plant that seed. And it made me realize as I was praying that day and I wanted to do all these other things so I could move business forward, I began to realize that what God wants me to do initially wasn't what I set out to do.
And it almost seemed like it was an insignificant task at the time. I love the people I I communicated with, but it almost seemed because of what I wanted to do that this task in which he was asking me to do was immensely insignificant. insignificant. But here's the deal. It says it is like a grain of mustard seed which when it is sown in the earth is less than all the seeds in the earth. Okay. But when it is sown, it growth up and become itth greater than all herbs and shoot it out great branches. Because we're speaking about kingdom principle, kingdom of God, they operate in a different principle.
Something that seemed insignificant to my flesh was going to prove to be great in the spirit. So I sow the seed of the action. action. Sewing a seed is an action. And so I sw the seed of the action of pouring in to these individuals. And boom, Lord behold as that was sown almost immediately without being watered. And almost immediately were opportunities opening up to connect to fellowship to do business it was in the insignificant task and I'm reminded that in these insignificant task as long as it is approved by God it's actually not insignificant. is insignificant to the flesh and it just blows my mind.
And if we look at verses prior to this which really struck my attention is another kingdom of God principle. And And in verse 26, Jesus said, and he said, "So is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground ground and should sleep and rise day and night, and the seed should spring and grow up. He knoweth not how. So one of the principles again about the kingdom of God is like a man that has seed in which he scatters. Okay. And these seeds that are being scattered which as we know the seed will be the word of God.
As the word is being scattered, it's not up to us to worry about the increase to engineer the growth. The growth happens in the hidden place. The growth happens outside of my jurisdiction. I don't get to command the seed to grow. And he said it'll be as somebody that should sleep. Sleep is resting. And when I arise, I see that there's been growth. There's some type of growth. And I'm reminded when I read that scripture that God is one that engineers the growth. I don't got to concern myself with that. That's not my portion to worry about. That's not my portion to concern.
My only concern is getting seeds and scattering the seeds. Getting seeds and doing the action that God wants me to do. He's the one that's going to grow it. I just got to remain obedient to what he wants me to do. And that's what this is about. This is about just the obedience. What in your life seems as though is insignificant? My thing is go to God in prayer. >> And even if it appears insignificant, go to God and ask him, "Hey Lord, is this what you want me to do?" And sometimes it's going to contradict what you believe you need to do. And most of the time, that's God.
His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. So if he's telling you to do something that seems insignificant, I guarantee you it's going to produce the greatest fruit. The tree is going to grow. It's going to produce branches. And it's not it's not only for you. God is in the business of using you to do something that may seem insignificant in the flesh real world so that this thing may produce a fruit that you couldn't even imagine. that is going to be for the benefit of other people. Check this out.
It says, "So that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it." A tree when it's grown, birds flock to it, insects flock to it, humans dwell under the sha shade and the shadows. Doesn't have to mark it. Doesn't have to do anything. When it's fully grown, it's something that helps the ecosystem. God has an assignment for you, my today today that's going to help serve so many other people. people. Don't worry about doing the thing that you think you need to do. The thing that seems ins the thing that seems significant like, "Oh yeah, this is going to move the needle forward.
This is going to be what makes the thing work. Oh, this is going to be it." No, no, no, no, no, no, my god. god. Pray about what he wants you to do. And if it seems insignificant, if it seems pointless, pointless, but it's approved by God, that's the thing, my But I'm reading the word unto people and I'm planting the seed of the word. There's times where, hey man, I don't know if the seed that I planted is doing anything. I don't know if the word of God that I just shared with somebody is actually affecting because I can't actually see it, but it's not for me to see.
I just need to I just need to read the scripture. I just need to share the word. I just need to share the good news. news. And God is the one that's going to use that word and like a double-edged sword, he's going to penetrate. He's going to bring the increase. He's going to bring the growth. I just need to be obedient. And then one day, I'm going to look up and I'm going be like, "Wow, "Wow, what God told me to do actually worked." Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Lord, we just want to say thank you for your love. Thank you for your grace.
Thank you for your mercy. Father, thank you for the seeds that you give us to plant and to scatter, Lord. Thank you that we don't have to be involved with engineering growth, engineering increase. Thank you that you're the one in the hidden place in the places that we can't see. You're doing a work. You're moving right now as I'm speaking. You're doing a move that I can't see. And we thank you and we trust you. And we thank you for the day that when we look up, we see that everything you called us to do was literally for your gain.
Everything that you called us to do produced some type of fruit that is beyond our wildest imagination. So God, I just want to say thank you for using us. Thank you for using myself. Thank you for using my leader, Lord God. And I just pray that we have the boldness and we have the humility to surrender to what you've called us to do. Although it may be insignificant, we thank you for the mustard seed. So father, we just want to say that we love you. We thank you. And it's in Jesus mighty name that we pray. Amen. Amen. I love you my leaders, but Jesus Christ loves you more.
We out.
