God Gave You a Sound Mind—Stop Believing the Enemy’s Lies

there my leaders welcome to my humble AB Bo you know before getting into this video my leaders I wanted to share something else with you all and I was asking the Lord today what will you have me share do you want me to share something out of the Book of Joshua you want me to take something out of the Book of Proverbs you want me to talk about my book and there's one thing that the Holy Spirit kept impressing on my mind today and that's our thoughts right and when I'm talking about thoughts I'm specifically talking about those tormenting thoughts that are coming from the devil okay and I want

you to know in this video that you may have thoughts that are not ones that you may want want to even be thinking about thoughts of Temptation okay and it may trouble you because you're battling with dang why am I having these thoughts why are these ideas coming in and some of them are trying to urge you to act and I want you right now to first and foremost have Grace and forgive yourself of these thoughts okay especially if you have not moved forward and have done the actions and that's what I want to speak about today but before I do that I would like to pray I'm there been

father I'm praying for my leader right now that you will give them a space of comfort that you will give them a space of Peace today Lord I ask that you will Comfort their mind and rebuke any tormenting thoughts that have been intruding in their minds Lord that is of the enemy and there not of you so God we cancel these thoughts right now we give them to you today heal us Lord Jesus get us back on the path grant us strength today in Jesus mighty name we pray amen amen my leaders one thing that the Lord has On My Mind One scripture is a scripture that you know very

dearly that the Lord did not give us a spirit of fear but of power one of love and a sound mind and I want to talk about that sound mind one of the ways that the enemy attempts to disrupt that sound mind is with fear and fear is a multitude in a myriad of things and tormenting thoughts is one of of them okay many many of you all who have come to Christ you've been baptized by the Holy Ghost by the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit and you've been washed you've been cleansed you received Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and what the enemy

comes to do as we know in Romans 8 there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who are called and so you know there's no condemnation condemnation But the irony is you believe that once you came to Christ you weren't going to experience any type of battle especially not the ones that you've been delivered from and often times what you'll see is there's moments that even though you're delivered sometimes these intrusive thoughts try to come in things that you've overcome things that you've been delivered from things that you'll never go back to or even new things new ideas and you're like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa

where is this coming from you know my wife had a testimony of her dealing with these things for years and as you're thinking about this stuff you're like you're starting to feel a little guilty and you feel guilty because like dang man what what what is this and what it's trying to do is throw off your sound mind because one thing that fear tries to do in the form of Torment it tries to make you feel shameful and it tries to make you feel guilty and now that you're feeling shameful and you're feeling guilty even though you Ain commit no act you start moving a little different you feel like

people in your head they in your thoughts you know what I'm talking about and if I'm going to be honest and very transparent with you which is what this platform is about back in the day I used to battle with with pornography pornography okay before I knew that it was a sin it was a door that I opened up at a young age because the wrong people influenced me and put me into this thing and not even the wrong people it just took one person it just took a eighth grader to share something with me after we got off the bus one day and it led me down a journey

in the path of addiction for over 15 plus years until I came to the Lord and got delivered from this there will often be times I'm still going through and I'm still battling with just the the thoughts just the urges and The Temptations trying to pull me back into that that sphere and it will make me feel so shameful it'll make me feel so guilty and then there'll be times in the past where I just found myself falling short completely all the time just because of the thoughts that would trigger me then I remember just asking for help and crying out to God and like Lord man help me in

this area it's it's tormenting me Lord I've been repenting for so many many times lord I can't keep falling short to this and you may be in a scenario where you feel like hey man you've repented so many times for actually making an action but this video is not even about the action my leader this video is simply about the thought the tormenting thoughts you know why the enemy comes to torment you because he can't actually physically get you to do something you've been washed by the blood of Jesus Christ you've been cleansed and one thing that the enemy would love for you to do as you're tormented is to

receive this tormentation as truth and to get you to do things you wouldn't often do so that you can allow demons spiritual demons yes we talking about demons on this platform because our enemy as the word says is principalities rulers in high places spiritual warfare right right demonic activity coming in trying to get you to act in ways you would not typically act and so the enemy puts fear because if the enemy can put fear in you it's the opposing attribute of faith and we know that it is fi in where we please God one of my favorite verses is Hebrews November November 6 I call it Hebrews November 6

and I say that CU that's the birthday so if y'all got some gifts that you need to send me on November 6th mark your calendar right now and on Hebrews November 6 it says but without faith it is impossible to please God okay I'm going read that again but without fith it is impossible to please him for he that come to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him and check this verse out my favorite verse right here now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things

not seen one of the perversions of fear why the Lord didn't give us the spirit of fear but a power love and a sound mind the perversion of fear fear tries to operate like fate fear tries to give you a substance of something to fear that is not present it tries to give you a hope in the aspect of fear so that you may think that you are capable of doing the things in which you're being tormented about okay which is one of the reason reasons in a previous video I spoke about how the Lord says that that those who keep their mind on thee will experience perfect peace because

it's impossible my leader to be in your word reading your Bible and also at the same token at the same time be in a fearful fearful space space okay it's impossible they say that we're only to focus truly on one thing at a time and multitasking is not really a thing we think it is and what fear tends to do is to distract us from spending time with God that's what it does you don't even think that you have the you're you're clean enough at times to even go before the Lord with boldness but God loves you the word says he knows your thoughts he knows your prayers before you

even prayed them and if it's according to his will he's answered them before you even asked him so he knows what you're dealing with he knows the tormenting thoughts that you're battling with and those who are truly following God with all your might holy I need you to be not ashamed and continuously go to God for strength okay continuously ask the Lord to remove these tormenting thoughts continuously go to God In Prayer what continues to help me even now as I'm pastoring you all right I'm pouring into you all I love you all I don't even know you all of you but I love you all dearly y'all are phenomenal

individuals and I love you all cuz Jesus Christ loves you all God loves you yall my brothers and y'all are my sisters in Christ even now where I stand in my position there's times where I get these thoughts I get these lustful thoughts they come and I'm having to ask myself what actions am I going to take how can I be strong right now how can I do the opposite of what the Tormentor is trying to speak to my ear to do and I often find that praying first and foremost is the very first weapon of my my Warfare praying getting on my knees surrendering to God lord I don't

have no strength right now and I don't want my flesh to do what my flesh shouldn't do so Lord help me then the next thing I find myself doing is getting in my word throwing myself in the Bible reading its passages reading the scriptures for strength because that's the same thing that Jesus Christ did when he was tempted in the wilderness he spokes the scriptures back to the devil and I find myself when I'm speaking the scriptures back to the Tormentor that spirit of fear can't be there because any lie that the enemy puts in my ear now is now being rebuked with truth Darkness cannot overtake life it's impossible

light always consumes Darkness therefore truth will always consume a lot and I find that that just works for me my lady just just works and then talking about it as well too these things are so important my leader and it's important that I share what I go through as well too because I don't want you to feel like you sitting there alone I know so many individuals going through these tormenting thoughts and Dev was just in their ear just speaking and you just got to tell them no enemy likes to party you just got to tell them no you know it's not a joke but sincerely you got to tell

them no and the one way you do that is with prayer and with the word of God you have power okay you have love and you have a sound mind and so do not feel guilty when those thoughts come all right it is a Lie from the enemy and I'm just doing this video so that you can gain your power back okay it's very crucial this came to my spirit today as I was in prayer and as I was reading my word and I started to think to myself like wow man like there's times when the enemy tries to come speaking and I'm having to continuously tell them no and

so I know if the enemy is trying to come to me at times he's around roaring like a lion like a lion looking for somebody that he can devour you may be one of those people who he's trying to get to okay and I'm just here to tell you listen those thoughts are not your thoughts all right those thoughts are not your thoughts if you continuously go to God he will give you strength all right if you continuously pick up your word your sword you will have the weapon of warfare this will help you Battle Victory Jesus Christ already swallowed Up victory with his death at the cross and his

resurrection all right death has no Sting the enemy has no the enemy is a defeated foe which is why he can't touch you but he torments you from afar all right so watch what you're watching watch the things you're reading watch the music you're listening to watch the news that you're listening to watch the things that you're seeing these are all Gates okay watch the stuff that you're drinking what's coming into your mouth what are you inhal and exhaling there are ways that things get into you that also equate to why you may be experiencing tormented all right my leaders those thoughts ain't your thoughts just wanted to share that

with you all today to be encouraged God did not give you that spirit of fear that's coming for you but he gave you a spirit of love power and a sound mind heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Lord we just come to you today and say that we love you we glorify the name of Jesus Christ and we thank you for your love we thank you for your power we thank you that you've given us a sound mind we thank you that you have the authority and the victory over the enemy Lord and we give no power to the enemy this season and when we have these

intrusive thoughts these tormenting thoughts these thoughts that come to belittle us and take us down and make us feel less than worthy to be hires and sons of God lord we ask that you will rebuke those thoughts God we cast Satan back to hell right now in his schemes and his plan and I ask that you will cover this leader and deliver this leader in the name of Jesus we are free Lord God or we are free because we have the one who's redeemed us the King of Kings and the Lord of lords so father let us remember as we move forward this year that we are victorious we love
