Repent and Refocus: Stop Letting Idols Take Jesus’ Place

[Music] [Music] my leaders ladies and gentlemen how are you doing I missed you all this past weekend I'm just want to say something I'm very excited to give you this word today and not because it's the most peaceful message to give but it's because it's the most transformative simple word that I can give it's a simple word all right and the lord gave this to me because I had to ask the question during my Bible study today and I had to ask the question that the Holy Spirit prompted in my spirit as a check what have I been worshiping okay what have I been worshiping what have I been idolizing

idolizing more than my focus on God and that's what this video is about right now this is just to clear up anything if we're going to move forward we got to clear up some things that we may have been been worshiping worshiping idolizing okay over God in order to get to a place or a destination that we're trying to get to is God leading us or are we idolizing something have our mind and our eyes turned away from the god that you and I serve and are we looking elsewhere that's the question for today the the answer for today is about repentance this is about repentance it's a beautiful word

don't click this video off cuz I'm talking about repentance but there's a Prophet by the name of Micah I'm going to read just the first chapter a verse in there that the Lord wants me to read to you all that I'm pretty sure it's going to help you like it's ministered to me okay so before we begin my leader let's pray dear Lord heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Christ father I ask that you will go before me right now in this video in this message Lord and that you would use me right now to speak to your leader father there's a leader that's watching this from

across the globe I don't know where they are but Lord they love you they're always seeking a word from you they're looking to be transformed they're looking to be renewed they're seeking a word from you they just want to hear from you heavenly father so I'm praying today that they hear from you that something becomes clear God that you preparing their hearts Lord if there's a Harden heart watching this video today God I ask that you will soften that Heart Lord God prepare their soil to receive the seed of this word and allow to produce a h hundredfold today God father we just want to say that we love you

and right now at the beginning of this video we repent right now for anything that we've done to disrespect you anything that we've done to go against your word God we we humbly come before you right now we just say thank you ABA for your forgiveness father lead me today less of me more of you right now right here in this moment guide us lead us in Jesus mighty name we pray pray amen my leaders you and I are the same okay you and I both live in this world right now at the same time as the recording of this message and as we're in this world there's so many

things for us to place our eyes on right now there's so many distractions and attractions that ultimately turn into distractions there's a lot of them I can't name them all because I don't know what you're attracted to you may not know what I'm attracted attracted to but here's the thing in these attractions and in these things that we want so bad to happen for our life things that we want to obtain these material possessions it's easy for us to kind of get into a phase where ah you're following God I'm talking to my Believers right now and as you're following God you're like uh this thing ain't coming fast enough

right now I ain't moving the way I'm supposed to be moving or I feel like I'm supposed to be moving God I'm going to just turn and I'm kind of gonna kind of going to go my own own way and I see other people obtaining things that I want I'm kind of going to ask what they have been doing in order to obtain those results and I know I know they told me they don't really serve you God ah but Lord forgive me because I'm about to actually try to do this thing in in the way that I know I'm not supposed to do my leader this video is for

anybody who may have been taken off guard you don't even know that you going astray cuz God add me asked the question today I got a notes right here God is calling me Mike Jaa on chera to remain faithful to him and do not turn to other gods as a solution to gain what I desire to gain God is telling me Michael Ja on Cher do not turn to other gods to obtain the thing that I desire to obtain why is he telling me that because one example in the word which was not even part of this message is Jesus Christ he gets baptized and the Holy Ghost leads him

into a Wilderness and as he's out there into the wilderness fasting and tempted by the devil for 40 days and 40 nights what happens the Devil comes to him at his weakest Moment In the Flesh with Temptations turn this Stone into bread he shows Jesus this great power that he can have of influence impact the kingdoms of this world and also hey jump off this Cliff let's see if God is going to save you and right now in my life I would love to preach on to the Nations and touch as many lives as I could possibly touch so that they can hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ the word

and the teachings that are in this Bible the word of God so that they can be whole complete heal delivered save like I was saved from committing suicide back in 2014 I want to see people healed too I tried everything else but it's Jesus Christ that help so I know this and I stand firm in my word but there's times where I can feel like man I want to move a little faster I want the influence now I want the position now I wish I could be doing this now and God has to Humble me and say hey M when it's time I'll exalt you in due time but while

you're doing that don't allow the enemy to come up because you got this great desire okay and and snatch you and the word is so beautiful because actually nothing can snatch us out of God's hand is what the word word says but it doesn't stop us from being able to crawl out of God's hands and the way we crawl out of God's hands is by looking at all these other things that we want and moving at our own timing versus God's timing and so here I'm reading the book of Micah if you got your Bible I'm reading out of the KJV version I want you to go to the Book

of Micah it's cold out here I'm going wait for you to go to your Bibles I'mma warm up my hands look at that I don't know if y can feel this cold it's cold in Texas baby Micah is a prophet and Micah's name means who is like Yahweh let me say that again who is like Yahweh Yahweh and in chapter one of Micah God brought me to this book by sending me a dream he sent me a dream multiple times and I was at a woman that I used to date in the past and her name was actually Michael I was at This Woman's crib okay don't worry I already

told my wife about this dream and as I was in This Woman's crib the Lord revealed to me very specifically why he led me to the Book of Micah so I begin to read the book of Mike and I'm still reading it we're going to do more messages on this book and man it's a very it's not the easiest read there's a lot of symbolism there's a lot of things that are are analogies it's very poetic in a way and as I'm reading chap one Micah is called to give a warning message a message of rebuke he's called to speak to the Northern Kingdom of Israel which is Samaria and

he's called to give a warning to the southern Kingdom of Judah why is he giving this warning he's giving a warning to these kingdoms and mind you this is Israel this is God's people Samaria is dealing with idolatry idolatry corruption and unfaithfulness to God I'm going say it again they're dealing with idolatry corruption and unfaithfulness to God that's what's going on right now in the Northern Kingdom of Israel Samaria it's too late now God's anger has already been kindled he's about to perform judgment all right Judah y'all got this warning the Bible says that this warning is at the Gate of Judah meaning that God is going to give Judah

a chance to repent all right but Samaria you about to get the Judgment of God for idolatry corruption and unfaithfulness to God what they were in the midst of was worshiping a thing the Bible uses it's the word graven images and graven images wore a physical representation of a lowercase G God that these individuals would Worship in order to gain material gains things that they wanted to see happen in this world material things so they were idolize these low case G Gods which are really no Gods at all and the word they're breaking the Commandment because in the Commandment one of The Commandments is thou sht have no other God

before me y'all are breaking the commandments so they kindled God's anger and they send Micah to send this warning and the question that the the Lord had me asked the question of if I'm still here today by the grace of God is hey what in my life life personally have I turned into an idol what things are trying to become an idol have I made any graven images am I worshiping something other than God what is these things and I'm going read a verse to us now because in Micah I just wanted to give you a little introduction on what's going down um Micah chapter 1 and I'm going to

read verse S and it says in all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to Pieces so first and foremost all the graven images all these Idols shall be beat into pieces basically these Idols that you have Samaria are going to come to nothing they're going to prove worthless they're going to prove that they absolutely mean nothing they're not something that can stand they're things that were built on a quicksand and not on strong foundation and all the highest thereof shall be burned with the fire and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate for she gathered it of the higher of in Harlot and they shall return to the

higher of in harlot in other versions you may see the word prostitution this is an example of the way way things have been obtained the way that you gathered was in the form of a prostitution this word Harlot and prostitution is just a a imagery of unfaithfulness to God and the way that you obtain the very things in which you obtain you did it in a way without seeking the wisdom and the counsel of God you did it seeking the counsel of your God lord case G the thing that you worship worship you got it in an Unfaithful Manner and so now that you got it in an Unfaithful manner

that was outside of the will of God the very thing that you're trying to obtain or maintain you're going to have to maintain that thing in corruption and when corruption meets the flames of fire which God is going to send to judge this thing to see if it's actually real or not is going to fall by the wayside and is not going to hold up see the thing about what God wants the children of Israel to know right now is that idolatry never holds up when we take our eyes especially you Believers I'm speaking to you Believers when we take our eyes off of God in order to try to

go after something in our own way and we try to lean on our own understanding it's never going to stand when it actually comes to a real test it don't got the ability to go to Long Haul so it's a temporary fix and it's a temporary satisfaction that will never equip you to go the long ha God is saying Mike J on your channel speaking to me what are you trying to do for short game versus relying on me and just trusting on me so you can go to Long ha Michael J Ana ching and just speaking to these leaders right now have you done anything in the form of

a harlot are you moving in a way that is unfaithful to the Lord and so what I did was in order to just not quickly answer that question and just say yeah yeah yeah God know know I'm moving right yeah yeah yeah I know I'm reading your word every day I'm in that Bible every day I know I'm praying to you every day God I know I am I got to be this not even this not what the message is about the message just is just about a posture of repentance like Lord hey I don't even hey I pray I'm following you the right way that's my prayer but you

know what to be honest God there may be some areas where hey Lord if I am not following you in the right way I want to be like Judah I want you to give me the opportunity to hear what you how you judge all these people and I just want to come to you and say God I don't even know and right now on this video I repent for my sin I repent for anything that I've done to go against your will I repent for anything that I did to move like a harlot I repent for anything that I've done to idolize things I didn't know I was idolizing I

Repent if I was was moving in corruption I Repent right now if I was moving with unfaithfulness Lord I just need your forgiveness today right here right now L you know reveal the things of my heart heavenly father and if I've moved astray God send me back on the right path today that's what I I pray that's the posture of this video my leader my posture is not to condemn you cuz the word in Romans 8:1 say there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus for those who are called who love the Lord God didn't come to condemn the world he came to save the world but

the thing that condemns us is Sin Sin condemns us that's what that's what condemns us sin reveals the things that are going against God's Will and my repentance is God I'm repenting for all of my sins today and all of the sins that I may have committed and if the Bible say if we think that we've sin not we call him a liar so Lord if I don't even know what I've been doing to go against your will God today please don't do me like the Northern Kingdom of Israel don't judge me like you did Samaria father God I need your grace and I need your mercy that's what I'm

asking for today Lord God I Repent right now in Jesus name my leader today find some time today this video after this video and just repent just repent repent is to turn is to turn from your ways okay it's to turn from your ways and ask in the Lord Lord I know you got this Covenant that we made I just want to remain faithful to you and God Is So merciful his Mercy abounds his grace abounds he will forgive you but it's a posture of the heart okay and it's a declaration in your mouth in prayer to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ even those who are believers and you

feel like you walking this perfect walk my leaders as your internet p as your life coach I make mistakes all the time even in my marriage as a husband I'm making mistakes all the time and even when I feel like yo I could be prideful this week cuz I'm walking perfectly every single day I come before the Lord and I'm in a posture of repenting because I truly don't know if I've done anything to go against the will of God even if I tried perfectly I know I'm a human in this flesh in this flesh Wants What It Wants sometimes my mind is thinking things it shouldn't think sometimes I

may have said something to somebody I shouldn't have said maybe I cut somebody off on the road I shouldn't have cut off maybe I did something to disrespect somebody without knowing but Lord I just want to be in right standing with you Lord I repent for my sin now all of those things I mentioned probably don't have nothing to do with idolatry and Corruption is a whole different story that we're going to talk about in in a later video because I got to go to chapter 2 and I got to go to chapter chapter 3 but in this first video right now I just want to let you all know

God loves you and you don't have to have done a million wrong things in order to come to God in Repentance and you don't even have to feel like you did anything wrong but it's just a posture that says God I want to keep lining up with you Holy Spirit reveal my heart Jesus Christ I love you so much and when you when I made this Covenant with you I I I know I I said I'm want to I'm going to follow you I'm going to do everything I can to follow you so it's nothing for me right now to say God I repent for my sin leave me and

the Lord says in the word Isaiah 45 that he going to make your crooked way way and he going to make it straight and what repentant does is we may be going astray just a little bit just a little bit in the moment that we repent it gets us back on track we back here oh every single day you may be just a little bit just a little bit boom repent boom put you right back on track that's where we want to be that's the posture that we want to move with moveing forward this season okay my leaders it's a beautiful thing to repent it's not a scary thing it's

not a hell and brimstone and burning with fire thing it's just a heart posture it's one of the most beautiful things that you can do today just to humble yourself God exalts the humble right but he resists the proud We want to be in a space where we're are humble we're seeing what's happening with the world and a lot of these people that we used to idolize in the secular world even in the kingdom of God and we see how God is bringing these things down he's bringing people down he's bringing kingdoms that are not of his he's bringing them down he's bringing Idols down things are being exposed we're

just like them we can be exposed at any point in time even though God loves us and we're a chosen people so we want to always being a heart of posture towards our king of kings and our Lord of lords all right my leaders so my lead I just want to let you know I love you thank you for making it this far into the video today um let's pray heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ father we just right now want to say Lord we love you and we repent right now from any type of idolatry Lord any Graven image that we've put before you Lord we

want to repent for any form of corruption that we've been partaking in Lord we ask for forgiveness for any form of unfaithfulness God even if we don't know about the unfaithfulness Lord forgive us God we repent we turn today and we come back to you and we just pray that you will continue continuously guide us that you will continous lead us and Lord we thank you that you forgive us of our sins today Jesus Christ father we don't want to be judged like the children of Israel Lord God we don't want to be judged like Samaria Heavenly Father we thank you for this warning from Micah the prophet heavenly father

and we just ask that you allow the Holy Spirit to move and go before us and reveal what we're supposed to be doing Heavenly Father Lord we thank you for Jesus Christ you send the your only begotten son to die for my sins so that I can have this moment where I can repent so I can have this eternal life in this salvation Lord I Thank You Heavenly Father for Jesus I thank you Lord God for your love I thank you for your mercy Lord and we thank you for everything that you are to us Heavenly Father Lord I ask that you will cover this leader right now I plead

the blood of Jesus over this leader heavenly father when I ask that they would be at a space of peace right now Lord God that they will be filled with your overwhelming love heavenly father and that they will know that you don't come to condemn them but you came to love on them and you came to save them heavenly father so Lord I'm praying that they are in a space of Peace today after this video Lord God so I thank you for what you're doing we thank you for everything you're doing Lord we love you and it's in your precious son Jesus mighty name that we pray amen amen amen
