The God of All Comfort: A Call to Minister to the Brokenhearted

my my leaders hey thank you all for joining me once again for another episode today I want to speak to you all about Comfort okay that's what's on my spirit as I record this video today is there some of you all one y'all need to be comforted and two some of you are are called to comfort others okay we're going to read three verses I want to pray before we begin Heavenly Father hallelujah holy spirit go before me right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ father we just want to magnify your name right now and we ask that as I speak this word today out of your Bible

that you will go forth and you would plant a seed in this leading father allow me to say the words today that you will have me say so that I may offer comfort and also offer direction for somebody who is being called this season to pour into somebody else's vessel I don't know where they are right now but somebody in their surrounding somebody in their environment needs their comfort they need the peace that they have within them that's coming from you and they're wondering how they got that peace and they need this leader right now watching this video to go forth and offer them words of encouragement a hug a

smile something so father we thank you for this timely word I ask that you will bless this leader that you will magnify them heavenly father and that you will grant them a peace that surpasses their understanding father you are the god of comfort and we thank you we love you and it's in Jesus mighty name that we pray amen amen amen my leaders today if you're watching this video right now and you are in a space where you feel like there's a peace that surpasses your understanding and you feel like there's a comfort that you are experiencing God is going to call you to comfort comfort others okay right now

I know you're like man I just got out of something and you want to enjoy this piece and you want to just keep it for yourself you don't want nobody to bother you you don't want to be involved in nobody's problem that's not everybody but there sometimes we get that way we don't want to be involved in nobody's dilemmas nobody's tribulations it may feel like it's too much I just been through my with my leaders one of the things that the word speaks about is that same comfort that God has given to you is to do somebody else a favor and give them this Comfort I speak about this message

with okay and one of the things that tries to hinder our calling is today's message is us not feeling comfortable and not not worldly content but like feeling as though there's so much trials and there's so much tribulations going on that I can't even take time to do the work that God has called me to do cuz I'm going through a lot of my own problems and rightfully so okay rightfully so now there's somebody saying that but there's somebody else right now who I'm going to be speaking this message to is that God has offered you peace and here's what you're required to do if we go to Second Corinthians

the author of this epistle is going to be Paul and if we go to verse three we're going to start at verses three I'm reading out of the KJV version it reads bless be God even the father of our Lord Jesus Christ the father of mercies and the God of All Comfort I'm going to stop right there first and foremost I need us to remember that Jesus Christ is the God of All Comfort meaning that whenever you're distraught and you're going through trials and your tribulations don't do what I once did in the past where I tried to go to all these other things for Comfort tried to overeat gluttony

I tried to over drink alcohol alcohol drunkenness I tried to be out of my right mind when God is giving me a sound mind okay and I Tred to smoke my way out of it I'm hiding a kite right now and I tried to allow peace to come through the marijuana okay and all of these things are lowercase G Gods they're not the king of kings and the Lord of lords there are little things that we go to that we try to worship that in all actuality they can't offer an everlasting everlasting peace there are things that give us this satisfaction and this peace for but a moment until I

get hungry again but a moment until my high comes down but a moment until I'm not intoxicated and I'm and I'm not loopy again these things are temporary Comforts that don't really offer a lasting Comfort at all and God would rather not have us go towards these things because he has something greater it's our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who the word says he's the Prince of Peace this verse says he's the God of All Comfort and so check this out thank you holy ghost look at the sun coming out making my melanin shine right now and so verse four says who Comfort Us in all our tribulations all our

tribulations not just some of our tribulations all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort check this out them which are in trouble he Comforts us so that we can Comfort them who are right now presently in trouble going through turmoil tribulation fears within them anxiety depression their heart is in pain they're mourning so let's read that again who Comfort Us in all tribulation that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble by the Comfort wherewith we are ourselves are comforted of God for as the sufferings of Christ abound in us so our consolation that word consolation means comfort so our comfort also abounds by

Christ so as the suffering of Christ abound in us so our comfort also abound by Christ those of you who are believers one thing that the word talks about is being persecuted for the name of Christ and that when we come into the faith right we are also going to be partakers in a suffering that almost resembles Jesus Christ okay Hebrews speaks about Jesus Christ being perfected through suffering so we're going to suffering but the thing about the suffering that Jesus Christ endured while he walked this Earth was that he was also comforted by the Heavenly Father God will comfort him God will also send angels to minister in to

God has and is our ultimate comfort and I realize in my life anytime that I've gone through some of the most tumultous situations not having nothing not knowing where I'm going get my next dang meal not knowing where I'm going sleep right not knowing how I'm going to get over this feeling of Shame this feeling of guilt not knowing how I'm going to get over this this feeling of betrayal not knowing how I'm going to make it to the next week where the provision is going to come from and me wanting to be in a space of constant anxiety or in a low space of depression I realize every single

time when my mind is focused on God like the word says those whose mind are focused on the will experience perfect peace when my mind is focused on God during these times I come back to a space of Peace because I'm no longer longer so infatuated and so enamored and so focused on my present my present circumstance so this is how the God of All Comfort Works going to God in moments of Lord I don't know what I'm going to do I'm feeling this pain God but Lord take this burden from me and praying to God and then all times when I receive that that peace cuz this 10 years

last 10 years has been a ride God always called me to go out and speak to somebody go out and pray for somebody go out and share the good news of the Gospel so that somebody else who is lost to his broken who is blind who is experiencing your same discomfort can be healed because here's the deal I realize personally my leader when I'm in moments where I'm going through my own thing I can get so selfish and it's about me I'll close off my phone won't contact nobody won't even want to text nobody don't even care if people trying to call me don't care if people trying to check

in on me I'm going through what I'm going through and I need to be in a moments of isolation by my leader in those moments of isolation almost every single time that's when the enemy starts to work he starts to he starts to cook up he starts to cook up until you ultimately ultimately shook up wanting to get a rope and hook up and end your dang self that's my story of suicide so you don't want to be in isolation you don't want to be away from the congregation and the people of God that can really help you and minister to you but the moment that God allows me to

break free because on my mind to steadfast on him he calls me to go serve that's what I'm really getting at when he's talking about Comfort others let's read that again okay verse four who comforted Us in all our tribulation that we may be able that we may be able meaning that we may be equipped to comfort them which are in any trouble this is a called to serve now when I'm in my space of peace I'm in my space of power I'm called to go out and serve and in that service check this out I'm also not focused on my problems again because I'm now serving I'm too busy

trying to help the next person I'm too busy listening to the things that they're going through allowing them to air out psychological air they're airing out their issues they're airing out their problem they're they're being comforted when they air out they're getting the opportunity to allow compassion to be in the space this compassion helps offer healing because you're listening now to somebody else it's less about you and it's more about them you're ultimately in a space of Peace even when you're comforting somebody somebody else and check this out the word also also talks about how when we give words of encouragement that word of encouragement it doesn't go out void

we will also be rejuvenated and nourished when we look to nourish other individuals how beautiful of a concept is is that and it's not just a concept this is something that happen every single time I'm not going to lie to you yeah my leaders when I do these videos and I'm able to speak to you all this nourishes my soul cuz I know people are getting fed from it cuz I noce somebody today they may not have woke up like they woke up yesterday today may be a little bit different Satan may have got to them today and this word is going to help him some way or another I

don't even got to think about it a question I know it's going to help somebody I'm nished when I'm out in the streets and I get to go out and I get to pour on to somebody that nourishes my soul when I get to pour into my wife that nourishes my soul it helps me remain comforting and it helps me remember that at any point a time I could be in the same Circumstance the same situation so I choose this season to go to the God of All Comfort I ain't going back to the weed no more to comfort myself it never it never lasted I was wasting all my

dang money going back to the weed becoming broke because I Ain I'm spending money I ain't got I don't have for this pieace of mind that's temporary I ain't going back to drinking and heavy looking and getting dumb wasted I can't even pour into somebody when I'm drunken and I'm done wasted I may miss an opportunity I ain't going back to overs sleeping trying to let me sleep today cuz my days already suck so let me wake up the next day I ain't going back to trying to comfort Myself by overindulge in the video games I ain't really making it in life but hey I'm a level 50 on this

game I'm cold at this one of the best in the world I'm not going back to trying to get comfort in the wrong relationships from the wrong people when we talk about the God of All Comfort I need you to realize today leadership challenge is where have you been going to for Comfort first and foremost that's the first thing that's to the individual who is going to other things for Comfort we're going to read this again until we get it ingrained we're going to get this word ingrained right now okay I'm going just read it again I'm going read it again Blessed Be verse three even the father our Lord

Jesus Christ the father of mercies and the God of All Comfort the first challenge is to those who are going to every other thing for Comfort write down on a sheet of paper blank sheet of paper like we used to do in the past leadership challenge write down right now what have you been going to for comfort and why have you been going to it I need you to ask the Lord to help you remove yourself from this Comfort this season and allow Jesus Christ to be your comfort and if you don't know how to do that just simply ask the Lord says to ask and he gives to all

liberally without reproach so ask for the wisdom of how to do that now for my second candidate here is for the comforter who are people in life this season that God is calling you and requiring you to comfort it may just be your joy I was I was at a um a store the other day me and my wife were at Audis we're at Audis and as we're shopping at AI we are working as a team just something that we like to do we didn't even realize that somebody was watching us and as we're working as a team by the time we get to paying for food and we're packing

up the groceries inside the bags that we brought a lady comes up to us and says wow I'm very fascinated at your teamwork that you all look like you enjoy serving each other helping each other and it really made my day and as she said I'm like wow I didn't even know she was watching us I didn't know was bringing some joy to her another incident happened at a conference that we went to last weekend shout out to life Surge and one of the gentlemen stopped and he said wow one I really enjoyed your prayer two I really enjoyed the fact that you were uplifted and you were smiling almost

the whole time it really brought a peace and a comfort to my soul so my leader just your presence and your the spirit that is comforting you is going to infect other people like a disease sometimes you just got to show up and that's enough so to that leader right here who is it that you need to comfort and try to ask God for the strength to comfort those individuals although it may be difficult let's pray heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ father we just want to say thank you thank you thank you again for reminding us that you are the God of all comfort that you

are the god that we can actually come to right right now to relief us of our pain our stress our tribulation you want us to come to you before we go to our vices so father I'm asking for my leader right now to have the strength to come to you Lord Jesus and father we also thank you that in our comfort you give us the responsibility and the duty to go out there and serve others father I'm praying right now that the leader who is comforted right now will begin to see people in the spirit who they need to call who they need to a comfort who may who they

need to check up on Lord allow them to realize they don't got to do much sometimes it's just a hey how you doing sometimes it's just a quick phone call sometimes it's just being in their presence they ain't even got to say nothing motivational they just got to show that they care so father grant us this assignment and the strength through the Holy Spirit to do what you've called us to do today Lord God we just want to say thank you God for being our comfort thank you for being our peace thank you for leading us Lord we ask that you will continuously strengthen us and that you will continuously

guide us father we love you and it's in the name of Jesus that we pray pray amen amen amen my leaders I love you but Jesus Christ loves you more we [Music]
