THE NEED OF YOUR CUMBERED SPIRIT

when we sit at jesus' feet what I realized as I came back to my senses and I began to sit at jesus' Feet Again every single day without missing I begin to get my confidence back I begin to get my identity back I begin to get my power back hey my lady thank you for being here with me I want to speak to you [Music] [Music] specifically how you doing first and foremost how you doing let me know um I'd love to know how you are doing I'm going to get into it um let me pray and whatever the spirit will have me speak about let's speak about but join

me in prayer okay heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ father I just want to say say thank you for waking me up today this leader and I just want to say thank you thank you for your love thank you for your support thank you for your care thank you for the gift of Life god um thank you for the food that you continuously supplied day in and day out God thank you for your provision Lord thank you for your protection thank you Lord thank you for guiding me and guarding me from all those things that may have happened that did it so Lord I Thank you for

being my blind spot Hallelujah father I come to you today with my leader and we just want to say thank you we're looking for a word from you today and I'm praying that you would pick my leader up today you would allow them to know that everything is going to be all right because what we're deciding to do today is to get back into your [Music] [Music] presence we come to the realization that we ain't been in each other's presence well you've been in mine but I've been I've been struggling to remain in your presence I've been struggling to go back to your presence and Lord today during this message

God ignite us to remember how important it is to be in your presence how valuable you find it that we are in your presence God what happens when we are in your presence presence thank you Holy Spirit let's speak about that right now right here Lord guide me lessen me more than you give me the words God to spit to this leader who choosing to listen to this right now I pray that for this leader listening you ignite them you encourage them today through this word Lord you build them up God you give them something that they can take with them and move forward you give them something that they

can take God some real meat Lord that's going to hold on to the ribs heavenly father so they can go forth and do the work that you've call them to do today Lord let me share a personal story of what you've done to me recently to get me to this point to help this leader Lord guide us lead us in Jesus name we pray amen amen my leaders thank you for joining this one okay but this one specifically is it's about about you and when I'm pointing at you because you've been in a space that you've been trying to find out what it is that you're supposed to be doing

right now you feel like you've tried everything you feel like you've given your all and you feel as though now you're at a Breaking Point like God if you don't show up the person that everybody knows me to be I may switch up the believer that I used to be I may not show up as that believer Lord I need your provision I need need your protection I need your guidance I need your word this is the season right now is the time if I don't get it right now Lord I'm going to lose it and I'm a Believer and I don't want to tell nobody that I just want

to put on a I want to hold on I just want to hold on I just want you to know something I know how you're feeling I know how you're feeling because that's how I was feeling like so many things weren't going my way recently so many [Music] [Music] unexpected unexpected random events that will cause my own plans that I had to go left or make me have to Pivot constantly switching up trying to figure out how I can get to that destination and it just seems like every routee that I take to get to the destination pervades me and here I am praying to God asking questions questions Lord

what's going on Lord I need you I need you like I've never needed you before Lord you see the enemy that I'm up against right now you see what I'm up against Lord this is the time God if if if ever you show up if ever you show up right now is the time and I'm and I'm pleading out to God like this now I'm pleading out to God in this specific manner hold out to me hold on to me hold on hold on to me as I'm pleading out to God in this specific specific manner I'm realizing hu Hallelujah give me your words God I want to read a

scripture before I even go into this before I go into this I want to read the scripture holy spirit is promised me to read this scripture scripture I want us to open up to is in Luke Luke chapter 10 and in Luke chapter 10 go to verse 38 we going to read five verses and in these five verses we get a very Vivid explanation explanation on what tends to happen to even Believers there are times as Believers we're we're moving we're shaking we serving want to go we just but then there are those times where even as we're doing all these motions we feel as though yo why I don't

feel like I'm connected to God right now why I don't feel like I got a word why I don't feel like he's speaking to me he's speaking to everybody else he's speaking to her he's speaking to him she just told me her phenomenal testimonial he told me his as well too I'm like yo where mine at why I feel like it's been so distant for some years some of Y years some weeks and then we get like that when I oh gosh help me so in order for us not to feel distant God showed me something in Luke chapter 10 because this is what was happening to me this is

why I felt a little little distant and it's an easy fix but it may be hard to spot because it's Noble check this out let's read these verses I'm reading out of the KJV it says says now it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain Village this is Jesus Jesus Christ okay and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house and she had a sister called Mary which also sat at jesus' feet and heard his his word but Martha was cumbered about much serving and came to him and said Lord does thou not care that my sister had left me to serve alone

bid her therefore that she helped me and Jesus answered and said unto her Mara Mara Thou Art careful and troubled about many many things but one thing is is needful and Mary had chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from here let's unpack this man because those five verses are absolutely absolutely powerful when we read about verse 38 look at these words here now it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain Village and a certain woman named Martha receiv him into her house so here Martha is she has received Jesus Christ into her home his very presence the King of Kings the

Lord of lords the ruler of all the one who even the elements the wind must obey the ocean must obey the one who has all authority and all power over all principalities Jesus Christ is in the home of Martha and what's so beautiful is he's in the flesh that's a whole another layer of Beauty in it in of itself but his presence in verse 38 is in the [Music] [Music] house my leing 39 and she had a sister called Mary Mary which also sat at Jesus feet and heard his his word here we're going to see something 39 and 40 Mary on the other hand is understanding that the I

am is in the room she is in his presence the overwhelming feeling of having been in the presence of Jesus Christ she sat at his feet in order to to get a word so she dwelt in his presence and anytime you dwell in God's presence you must receive a word Mara on the other hand verse 39 or rather 40 it says but Mara was cumbered about much serving and came to him and said Lord Dost thou not care that my sister had left me to serve alone bid her therefore that she help me here it is Mara's servant but this key word here I had to look it up this

word cumbered Mara was cumbered about much serving so she was cumbered she was that word means distracted in Greek so Martha was distracted as plugged that word in much she was very distracted serving so Mara was doing a very Noble thing she was distracted serving that's a beautiful thing the enemy is not out here serving so she's doing God's work she's she's she's has the intention to serve Jesus Christ so that's what she's doing and she believes that's the most important thing for her to do Jesus comes around like what can I do for you what can I do for you what can I do for you God show me

what show me what I can do for you show me what I can do for you show me what I can do for you I'mma do it I'mma do it I'mma do it so we get C serving and we get fired up in this service that's what Mara is doing God's presence is around us we know you know he's there yeah he's he's there yeah I'm g go to him I'm g go to him after I'm done serving serving I'm going to go to him after I do this I'm going to go to him after I do all of these things yeah he's there we acknowledge Him sometimes we get

stuck in I'm sometimes we won't even go to him but to sit at his feet me and be still and just dwell cuz we're too busy moving Martha was cumbered with much serving and so in the service she comes to to him and she asks do you do you care that I'm doing all this for you and it seems that appears like she's not doing anything to help she's just sitting at your feet she's just sitting at your feet and it look like she's doing nothing listening to your word like but I'm actively actively obediently serving doesn't it look like it even sound like the law versus fate like salvation

through faith there's this need now through this work so gosh I'm doing all this work for Jesus Christ when first and foremost Jesus is like wait I just want you to be in my presence I want you to receive me through faith first and be in my presence because I may give you a word that's going to shift what you doing and I'm sharing this because I want to get into why this affected me so much because here I was feeling that feeling of dang why I feel like like I'm I feel like I'm lost like I just I'm doing all these things but Lord what's going going on I'm

moving I'm shaking I'm pulling double shifts cuz I got these new obligations then I realized in getting in getting lost in the activities that you believe God is calling you to do you can never forget to get lost in dwelling in the presence you can never forget to get lost in sitting at jesus' feet being in his presence hearing his word how do you hear his word reading your your Bible I got so distracted serving I starting to lose myself much serving I was I was cumbered in my serving distracted in my servant and the only reason I was distracted in my servant is because I wasn't spending as much

time at jesus' feet in his presence that's how you know you distracted this is what was happening to Mara Martha sitting here cumbered I love that word cuz it sound like cucumbers she's cumbered the Bible says much serving and Confused at Mary who's sitting at jesus' feet verse 41 it says and Jesus answered and said unto her Mara Mara Thou Art careful and trouble about many many things but one thing is needful and Mary had chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her her Hallelujah think about this for a second Martha I know you're careful I'm some version is going to say anxious I know you're

careful and you're troubled about many things many things are on your mind right now you got many concerns right now that's what you have many much concerns I hear you but one thing is needful on all the things that you're doing the one thing that actually needful that you and I need Mary's doing it so what is Mary doing let's go back let's read verse 39 and she had a sister called Mary which also sat at Jesus feet and heard his word he says in verse 42 one thing is needful you and I we have a need to sit at jesus' jesus' feet we have a need Jesus Christ was

often found departing right and going off to pray this solitary confinement it was just him and the Lord he needed to be in the presence of God he was showing us a need that we have not a want he was showing us a need every time Jesus Christ went right to go and pray to be with the father he was doing the same thing that Mary was doing as she sat at his feet very same thing because there's a need for intimate connection with God there's a need to hear what he has to say when we sit at jesus' feet what I realize as I came back to my senses

and I began to sit at Jesus Feet Again every single day without missing I begin to get my confidence back I begin to get my identity back I begin to get my power back God started me send me the uh scriptures scriptures like I love this one right here Luke 9 where he calls the 12 disciples together he said I gave them power power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases you know hearing words like that or or behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy right and so when when things like this when I'm I'm reading

every single day I'm getting empowered I'm like wow why was I so weak in a flesh I forgot the authority that I had had I forgot the authority that I have when I'm walking with Christ Jesus I forgot the power I forgot the strength somewhere down the line I lost that during these doubles and the only reason I lost it cuz I was cumbered I was distracted doing all these other things and and mine was working but why did we go to work we go to work because we want to want to make the income that we need so that we can serve our family provide food on the table

nice outings possibly clothes the the the needs to be able to provide so you go out and you're working you're serving you're working you're serving you're doing all these things and it's great as Noble but at some point if you're watching this video we act have to ask ourself the question how recently has it been since I've been in God presence and just sat there and just been in my word just just reading just looking to hear from him being in his presence even worshiping just I want to hear a word I need a word because my moral of this story is to God what's more important to him than

what we're trying to do for him is how we're taking time to be in his presence you know it's so quick to want to be in everybody else's presence friends presence are significant others presence a spouse and nothing wrong with that nothing is wrong with that but you see he say something this God that you are fellowshipping with that you get to go back to that you get to be in his presence he's the god that when everybody else is gone or people start to go folks start to pass away this relationship it never ends and even when you you die this relationship doesn't separate the relationship that you have

with God is the most important God it's the it's the relationship you take with you to Eternity that's the relationship so if you ever feel like you don't have that relationship or the strings are being you feel like you just being cut off or there's a disconnect that is the true Testament of hey you got to get back into God's presence you got to get in in it got to dwell in that thing so leadership challenge leadership challenge today if you made it to the end of this video you're a real one leadership challenge today would be specifically specifically to write down how often am I getting into God's presence

is it every day is it a few times a week is it once every two weeks maybe once a month or maybe whenever you feel like it or maybe this is a reminder right now to say hey I haven't been I didn't even know that was a need I thought I needed water I thought I needed know shelter I thought I yeah you need you need things like that but the need of the spirit the need of your soul is first and foremost to get into the presence of Jesus Christ that's a need and you'll realize that because you'll start coming back like there's a there's a healing in his

presence there's a love in his presence there's a Grace in his presence there's a mercy in his presence there's a there's a Clarity in his presence Hallelujah we can keep going we can keep [Music] [Music] going and so leadership challenge would be to write that down some practicals that I've been doing for myself is not only reading I've been reading daily making sure I'm reading reading daily what does that do for me it makes me feel like I got a relationship with my with my text starting to understand more slowing down reading looking up definitions on my concordance or or um Ox what am I using Oxford dictionary um or

or Webster but I'm taking time to read this word understand it you know pray more but I'm also doing other I'm making music man taking time to make music but I see inspired by scriptures like always get a scripture inspired by it and just write poetry or put on some instrumentals and start writing songs that's worship as well too some of y'all listen to the worship I listen to the worship too but D some of y'all may be writers go out and write your worship music write some praise music write some Victor music you know what I mean write something that reminds you about your heavenly heavenly father you know

I went into a King David moment where King David had to flee and it's crazy cuz King David you see the Psalms that he's writing many Psalms that he wrote was when he had flee and it's crazy how songs and music during times of tumultuous moments and our lives can bring about this sense of power peace strength maybe got you got to write a song start writing songs that involve your your love and appreciation I realized for me with music rap hip-hop when I got music flowing it helps me vessel emotions that otherwise I may miss it just does it helps me vessel emotions I may simply miss out on

so that's why the Lord when whenever I really want to get something out I got to create I got to create I got to write music or I got to create maybe a video I got to create something because that's the only way I can express myself maybe you've been feeling like man I haven't haven't been able to express myself lately maybe I heard something from Maron golden if you haven't seen Marin golden powerful you may go to his videos like dang I don't need Mike J no more but he's a business he's a Christian business coach and he preaches from the word one thing that he said specifically as

I was in like a creative r few weeks ago um he mentioned how if you have been in a creative slump or any type of slump of that nature it's most likely because you haven't been spending time with the Creator you haven't been spending time with the source source is the source of your energy the source of your inspiration the source of your creativity go back to the source so my that's it you made it to the end of this you're a real one you're real um let's pray this out heavenly father in Jesus mighty name Lord father we just want to say thank you for this moment thank you

for this time with my leader thank you for this hour I don't know how long we went today um but we just started to go the flow and if this is something that you're doing Lord let this be another video that comes out of this let somebody have been affected by this uh message today let them really truly have felt this let it have not been vanity heavenly father let this have been effective something may have spoken to them and if if they heard a word Lord let them be obedient give them the strength and the confidence to be obedient to whatever word that you've given them so that they

can move forward God lord and I just want to say thank you for your mercy thank you for your grace that is covering this leader right now it's giving them strength they are strengthened Lord they are being encouraged even now they're being encouraged and aspired to do the thing that they're called to do I don't know what it is heavenly father but ignite them to just be on fire for God ignite them to continue to do it ignite them to continuously push towards in that thing that you've called them to do Heavenly Father this is what this platform is about we are leaders and the portion of it is about
