How I’m Navigating Marriage as a Christian Man: 3 Scriptures for Surviving and Thriving

in Jesus name my leaders yo thank you for joining me on this episode today my only aim right now is to share a message that I truly believe needs to be heard right now I do not come on this video right now telling you all I got the green sauce and I got all the answers for a perfect marriage okay that's not the goal of this video but the goal of this video is to help people who may not be succeeding in marriage for specific reasons that may connect with my own I'm going to share some things that God has been showing me what he's been revealing me three things

in scriptures that's been holding me up up until this point and I want y'all to know if you're watching this video marriage is a beautiful thing and your marriage wherever it is right now is worth holding on to okay so let me pray before I begin this message heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ father we give you the glory right now we give you the honor we give you the praise lord it's because of you that we're even able to come together and gather you woke us up today and we're thankful and we're grateful father I'm praying for this leader who is a merried Christian man and

even the leader who is not married okay they are on the verge of possibly potentially getting married father let this message today speak to them Lord use me today let me share truth with them God let me not sugarcoat things but let me be honest let me be real let me be transparent heavenly father and a lot of these scriptures as I read them to plant a seed so open their minds allow them to hear this word today and may it produce fruit in Jesus mighty name amen my leaders there are three scriptures and more but just three for the sake of video that have been helping me out in

my marriage up until this point I'm going to share this with you all okay right up until this point I've been married for over a year now to my beautiful wife mcle sake shout out to you baby she's a Ethiopian beautiful black black queen and the first thing that I have to say that has kept this marriage together I have to give glory and honor to Jesus Christ at the end of the day I'm flesh I'm a man just like you as Christian men we get a lot of flock whenever we mess up or whenever we're not Christian like right at the end of the day we got this flesh

and this flesh has its own feelings it has its passions it has its desires there's no going about it you are in a flesh vessel vessel and I have to give honor to Jesus Christ because first and foremost I wouldn't even be married if not for Jesus Christ I would have committed suicide about 10 years ago but here I am and even at the point of getting married my leader I didn't think I was even ready to get married many of y'all may be looking at my marriage ring and it's on my middle finger only reason is there because it's too big it be falling off so the critical ones

that's why on my middle figure now before getting married I'm going to be honest with you all I had all these preconceived notions that that hey I need to have if this is me I got to got at least six figures I got to at least have enough money in the bank account that when things go wrong I can use this income to save my marriage God had to rebuke that ideology because up until this point what I'm going to share with you it has not been money that's kept my marriage together I'm going to be quite honest with you I don't make six figures as of yet in this

video in Jesus name I will moving forward okay and more than that God knows the number that's in my head that's written down on the check but it has not been income that has kept me in this marriage together quite frankly when we look at this world there's many multi-millionaires billionaires and and people with money doing well off it still is not a good foundation so it hasn't been money that's kept my marriage that was one of my ideologies the next thing I thought I had to become was this individual who I'm going to be real I'm going to be honest you all see my testimonial of yo being addicted

to pornography for over 15 plus years it was one of those things that I kept praying for that just kept being one of my strongest strongholds and initially I thought I had to be perfect in that area as well too and although I had gotten to a point where I was way better than I used to be as a little kid and I started to be able to have more self-control I wasn't completely whole in that area so what did the Lord have me do even when it came to being a fornicated in this world the lord had me go on a 8-year celibacy journey to understand what it looks

like to walk this walk in Purity was our Perfect all eight years of having no sex absolutely but it was the other Temptation the internet sexual immorality and to sit here and tell you hey man did I have it exactly all together right before I got married no I did not I wasn't perfect I didn't have perfect streaks all the time but you know what I had God's grace and since there's somebody right now that's watching this video right now you are suffering in that area and you are like man I need to get perfect I need to be perfect I need to be on this perfect Street Street I

need to go on this perfect run but the reality is if that is not happening for you I'm going to tell you something you are you have God's grace if you're a believer in Jesus Christ keep repenting and keep keep using his strength not your strategy it's not your strategy it's not your might it's his strength and I truly believe God has somebody for you that's going to help you in this area that you've been falling short that's not the reason to get married but it's a reason and it's something when you read these scriptures that's going to help you with this word that I'm going to share with you

about your passions right you feel like you don't got the self-control so it hasn't been that that's kept me in my marriage marriage okay I'm blessed to have a wife that can help me in this area but I got to share this because I know that this is going to help somebody right right now also before getting married I thought it was about to I had to do this with money I had to do this with my sexual my sexual morality which I was dealing with man but also one of the third things that really plagued me is this idea of perfection when I get married I need to be

the perfect individual for this perfect what does that mean I need to I need I need to construct perfect days I need to be the perfect human being I can't mess up at all so what I'm doing is it's almost idolatry because I'm once again I'm trying to be the perfect individual before coming into this marriage I'm trying to have everything all together but the reality is it's like when we come to Jesus Christ you don't come to Jesus Christ as a perfect man you actually come to Jesus Christ broken broken blind poor in spirit and the Bible tells us that it's Jesus Ministry for him to preach to these

people when we get into marriage what I realized is dang I was not perfect like God how did you even call me to go into this thing I'm about to mess this thing up before it even begin I've been in this game for about a year over a year now and both my wife and I have the same testimonial Jesus Christ got us through days have not been just a perfect quote unquote days in my standard but in his standard it has we've been able to grow through everything even the conflicts we've been able to grow and I'm thinking God God whoa the type of anxiety that I was bringing

on myself when you come to Jesus Christ you come to him imperfect and it's through suffering as we read in Hebrews that Jesus Christ was perfected it's through the suffering in your marriage and y'all trying to work this thing out that I've seen in my own experience my leader that has helped my marriage continuously Prosper when we come together and we communicate when we come together and when we speak and when we talk those are the three top things for me that plague my mind about this idea of marriage am I ready for marriage but I have to share those first because now it jumps into now I'm in the

marriage by the grace of God I'm in this beautiful marriage and one of the next things after Jesus Christ me giving him the glory for me even making it I shouldn't be a married man we shouldn't have made it a year in this marriage I'm going to be honest with y'all as much as I know about this good book this flesh has still come to rule over me right the enemy still does not want successful Kingdom marriages so I've had to battle and it's been a beautiful battle because I've grown but you know why I've survived this battle as well too my wife is a Praying Woman and my wife

is a virtuous woman a Proverbs 31 Woman to be exact I don't make it here without Jesus Christ and having a phenomenal supportive wife okay I wasn't looking for a virtuous woman before I was looking for the woman that was going to last match my lustful fantasies my lustful desires my lustful passions that's what I wanted and if I had got that woman my leader that lacked the virtue of a Proverbs 31 Woman we would not be here today cuz I would have destroyed it in my anger in my rage in my my sin I got to give a shout out to you baby if you're watching this video you

are a reason we are still here today you got enough patience for me and that goes into my first scripture that I want to read all right if you're still here yo you a real one I appreciate this I promise you going to get something from this video it's the word that the lord gave to me before I got married and I was serving my wife just serving her he gave me Ephesians 5:25 and it reads I'm reading out of the KJV version husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of Water

by the word that he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy without blemish Hallelujah my leader when we come to Jesus Christ this marriage idea man is so biblical because it literally represents the bridegroom Jesus and us being the bride his church my my leader God had me before I even got married to my wife serving my wife loving my wife giving myself up for my wife and also reading scriptures not like I was being dogmatic and I'm just preaching I'm preaching I'm preaching to her but we were sharing the scriptures together I'm reading

the things that I'm learning the way that I'm inspired by the she's she's enjoying it too it's it's feeding her it's pouring into her I'm like wow and what it's doing is it's cleansing her and it's cleansing me God had me loving my wife before we got married serving my wife before we got married but washing her with it says this with the watering okay by the word the word is this watering it's this nourishment not understanding that this woman of God was potentially going to be my my wife it's the same way right now in this Walk of Life when before we go and meet our heavenly father this

suffering our walk with Christ it says be ye perfect it's perfecting us daily and as you are married you going to realize you going to feel like you being perfected daily in the most beautiful humble way my leader Ephesians 5:25 husbands love your wives even as Christ loved the church I'm called to love on my wife oh Lord Teach Me How to Love I'm supposed to love on my wife even after we get into an argument I'm supposed to love on my wife even on the days I don't feel the feeling of love it ain't always about feeling like you love cuz you just may have gotten into an argument

y'all got into something you don't really feel the lovey doy emotions like when y'all first got together but I'm supposed to love on my my wife I got to sacrifice the feeling that I have versus just The Obedience God's holy ghost the holy spirit is beyond our emotions it's in the worm of truth the truth is I don't got to feel like loving you but I have to love you because love is the only thing that covers up a multitude of sin and it's the only thing that's going to get us back into the place that we need to be in this marriage I got to love you even when

I don't feel like it and oh thankful to God on the days that I do feel like it which is more days than not I'm supposed to love God Teach Me How to Love and here's what it says verse 26 verse 27 that he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy and without blemish verse 28 so ought men to love their wives as their own bodies he that loveth his wife loveth himself so God when I love myself I take care of myself I'm eating great nutrition I'm exercising on a weekly basis right I'm

pouring into my mind the word of God I'm reading books I'm doing things to help myself I'm eating my fruits I'm eating my grapes I'm e my pineapples man I love me some pineapples but I'm taking care of myself and it says when I love my wife it shows that I love myself why because when we come together we are now one flesh God took the rib out of Adam and made Eve when we come together that rib is back in you it's your rib y'all are one flesh so when I hate my wife what I'm saying is I hate a part of my body when I hate my wife

and I'm showing her disrespect and I'm abusing her and I'm hitting her right or I'm verbally abusing I I'm showing that I actually hate myself the hate that you got for your wife if you hate your wife is hate that you got for yourself and you may be like man coach J ah you understand what she did to me dog you don't understand what she did to me man hey man disrespect dishonor man cuz a man let's be honest what do y'all want what do we want more than we want love we just want we want respect the Bible talks about the wife should respect their wives even before it

says love which is the first principle but it we want respect so I get it the offense happens at times during the marriage where you feel like man my wife ain't even appreciating me no more man she ain't even resp respecting me dog I'm supposed to love on my wife and this is this is a key thing the love that I give to my wife is what's been keeping us as well too like I said I don't got six figures at the point of this shooting this video but I will one day I will have very good money in Jesus name but it hasn't been the gifts when I was

a guy that was dating my wife right not even dating cording her cuz we didn't really date I would do different things that I thought I needed to do like the gifts like I think I got to buy her this thing my ideology was I got to take care of the fancy dentist all the time I got to take it the fancy dentist you know every single weekend which is these are great great gestures I got to buy her the fancy gifts the expensive things some of y'all that got the money I got to get her a fancy whip we got to live in a fancy home we got to

do all these fancy things I got to show that yeah I'm the bread winner I got this money yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I could buy you anything you want baby we ain't never going to suffer you ain't never going to go hungry and that's beautiful but it's not those materialistic things that keep the marriage up in Ephesians 5:25 it says husbands love your wives you can do all these things but love your wives Like a Stranger can send you all these gifts but you still don't feel connected to them because you not loving your wife you're not loving they not loving on you they just giving you things have

you ever had somebody just give you things it's beautiful but just because you giving me something don't mean like we really connected like that let's talk about it so Ephesians 5:25 next verse that has helped me and I gave you this intro because I had to really I had to talk about this intro cuz of where I'm about to go next and it's about to Temptation okay it's about Temptation when you a married man and you know my leader is watching this video right now you were tempted back then before you were married but when you get married it's like Satan tries to come in 10x because he wants to

split the marriage up he'll use anybody to split your marriage up he'll use anything to split your marriage up to create thoughts in your head head that is going to keep y'all apart he wants to break it apart that's his goal so one of the things for me if I'm being real and I'm being honest it's been Temptation Temptation let me let me when we're angry how do I deal with to Temptation and it temptation is not always lustful it could be anger I had the Temptation hey to get angry now I'm being tempted here oh I'm being tempted to turn up like I used to turn up I'm getting

hot I'm getting heated I'm mad right now and you going to feel this anger I got to prove that I'm a man in this relationship I'm laughing cuz y'all know what I'm talking about there times you get into it with your wife and you like yo this woman don't know who I am I got to prove that I'm a man in this relationship so we get angry you you start arguing and you start quarreling back and forth and nobody's getting nowhere cuz nobody's listening to nobody when you just angry like that it's temptation to get angry there Temptation now when you angry you in the world I'm about to get

even you may see some things that you like start looking because the eyes is Never Satisfied and so now you looking at all these lustful things out here all right oh there go that woman oh man she looking right man let me go talk to her oh she looking right oh she just gave you a compliment ooh she gave me some flattery my wife ain't giving me no flattery but she giving me that flattery she she respect me I could tell she respect me so I'm about to go that way think about it for a second the temptation to cheat the Temptation for adultery my wife ain't around so hey

let me go to this let me go to this website let me go to this website cuz I haven't fully healed from my trauma of the past let me go to this website let me get the intimacy that's going to be the next scripture that I read scripture number three but let me go to this thing that I don't need to go to and let me get this fulfillment of intimacy this going to do it my wife ain't doing it but this this porn going to do it yeah yeah that work relationship that your wife may not know about your work wife the world calls this thing work wife that's

Temptation right there you know what the got you know what the Bible says about Temptation now we're going to go to First Corinthians chapter 10 thank you Holy Ghost 1 Corinthians chapter 10 it reads verse 13 my leader it said there had no temptation taken you but such as is common to men but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able but will with the Temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear with the Temptation God makes a way to escape but the reason why you connect with this video and if you connect you know somebody

else connects with this video up until this point please share this video my leader and if you're getting somebody hit the like button for me all right so that we can get this across the board and help other people the Bible in 1 Corinthians 10:13 declares that there's no type of Temptation okay that has taken you that is not common okay to men this temptation that you're experiencing that I experience other individuals are going through it as well too how much so should I be the person that tries to fight this temptation not once again in the flesh but in the spirit you're not fighting temptation In the Flesh that's

backwards your flesh wants to smoke your flesh wants the Temptation your flesh wants the anger it wants the lust it wants the it wants all of the perverse things that your spirit don't want because the flesh is contrary to the spirit and cannot do the things of the spirit it can't discern the things of the spirit so your fleshly Temptations is [Music] common but in that Temptation God has giving you a way out and in my marriage what I realized for me is the most power ful way for me to submit my emotion of Temptation before spazzing out now there's been times hands up that I've spazzed out and I

had to repent one first and foremost is repenting to God so that you turn but prayer Hallelujah I can't emphasize prayer enough prayer and fasting those two things prayer and fasting those two things things prayer and fasting those two things prayer and fasting those two things prayer and fasting those two things prayer and F I'm dancing so you can remember this portion of the video prayer and fasting those two things it's prayer for me y'all I've tried to come up with so many different solutions on how I'm going to strategize my way in the flesh of how not to get angry how not to follow into fall into lust and

it's come down to one thing to get on my knees and pray pray until the emotion is gone go out somewhere for a walk and pray talk to God until the emotion is gone talk to God until the until the Temptation is has literally gotten up out of my body the Bible says flee Temptation flee the devil flee Temptation flee sometimes you got to retreat people make this big old thing oh man I ain't about to run from no fight I ain't about to run from no argument my leader my man of God the one that's the leader of the household you ought to go run you ought to go

flee because something might come out of your mouth that will not heal for years punching somebody is one thing that bruise is going to heal but if I say something to my beautiful wife I'm liable to bruise her for life I'm liable to bruise her in a way that an apology can't even help her I got to I got to flee cuz if I don't flee and I don't retreat I may say something I'm going regret when temptation is in front of me the lust is in front of me if I don't flee and I don't resist I'm liable to do something I ain't supposed to do I'm talking to

my man of God that got the Holy Ghost in you let's not be fooled by the enemy's devices and think that we we not susceptable to be tempted just because we got the the Jesus Christ n we have Jesus Christ so he gives us the wisdom through the Holy Ghost on what to do he's told me Michael if you going to win in these arguments you going to have to flee sometime you going to have to just dip up out of there it's the only way for you it's the only way my leader the only way for me to win a lot of times is by fleeing I got to

run from the battle cuz I'm not ready for it I'm going to be honest I'm me enough to say I can't handle this I'm too emotional I'm too passionate y'all see the passion I speak with y'all I'm passionate in a lot of areas of my life I'm too passionate to have this conversation right now I need a moment that's so much maturity because God has given you the way out through prayer prayer lastly I don't want to hold y'all but I can hold y'all for an hour if y'all got the time if y'all got the time I can hold y'all for an hour but we're going to try to keep

this below 40 minutes and the the next scripture is that's been helping me in my marriage like I said there's more I just put this these are like the top three okay Jesus Christ first and foremost having a wife that's submitted to Jesus Christ and that literally has the patience that I need cuz if you married me I told my wife you married me man you got to have some patience because I'll be I'll be tripping I'll be tripping man I ain't going to cap I'll be tripping so the last scripture is First Corinthians chapter 7 it's in that same chapter um same book rather and Paul is speaking in

verse 5 I'm going to break this down and we're going to end this with a prayer and we're going to go back to our wives okay and those of youall who are not married who are watching this as man pray that you have the Holy Spirit it's guidance in marriage it's not going to be the perfect but it's going to be perfect because it's going to be everything that God needs this marriage to be let's read 1 Corinthians chapter 7 verse 5 I'm having a little bit of fun with this video I'm not going to lie to you so it says defraud ye not one the other except it be

with consent for a time that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer what we just dance about we danced about fasting and prayer okay and come together again that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency now that incontinency is the Greek word acaia which means self-control okay it means self-control for our lack of self-control for our lack of controlling passions this verse deals with us coming together as husband and wife making love making love is not only just for the conceiving of children into this beautiful beautiful world that God has blessed it's to come together to to connect and to be intimate is to come together so that we

can also show self- control when we're out in the world and the devil is tempting us and it says lack of coming together in Intimacy in making love in sex sex is not for the adult adult industry it was for the adult industry marriage okay a two parent household husband and wives so that when we do come together and we have a children this child has a safe place to grow in a balanced place that's a whole another video but to come together also is for intimacy it's so that y'all can be one we become one not just when we get married but then when we join together flesh and

flesh is a beautiful concept that God has done matter of fact like you see this even at the atomic level I was talking about this in another video when two atams come together and they join what happens it makes a molecule God wants you to become a molecule with your wife wife connect so one thing that the the Satan is going to do that I'm speaking is before you get married you got all these lustful desires you thinking yo I'm about to be doing this every single day we about to be getting this thing on and then you get into marriage and yeah you start off with that fire but

let these arguments happen you trying to get to know your wife she trying to get to know you let these little things happen and then all of a sudden you kind of like you you laying low a little bit you ain't as you know you ain't doing it as much you ain't connecting as much not that you got to connect all the time but there's some of us we ain't connecting at all cuz we offended by something we looking at our partner different it's just so many things in your head that we forgotten that we supposed to love on our wife that your wife is your greatest teammate so I

had to realize dang what's going on I'm kind of backing up a little bit and when I started to back up a little bit due to different offenses due to not expressing my emotions and how I feel to my wife what I realize is not expressing how you feel not communicating one of the greatest sins that you can do in your marriage your wife can't read your mind she can't read your mind and man we got a horrible problem opening up with our emotions we don't talk about nothing sometimes not even to our brothers in Christ we don't talk about nothing and if you ain't talking about nothing and you

just building some stuff up you you could build that thing for years you could be wandering for 40 years with this emotion that's just built up and so Satan now he comes in your marriage in this way and y'all didn't y'all didn't come to an agreement from fasting and prayer that y'all going to stop making love having sex being intimate y'all didn't agree on this stuff y'all just not doing it so now Satan has this he said oh game time my boy he's saying my boy game time it's game time I'm about to play with them I'm about to get in that brother's head what wait till he goes to

work wait till he goes to the grocery store wait till he goes to the gym I know where y'all boys be at wait till he goes to Best Buy the electronic store he ain't even trying to send he go to the electronic store Satan waiting for him at the electronic store he's just trying to get an iPad my brother just trying to get a PS5 man he got temptation staying them down up and down man and then because your body is this word right here incontinency because of that your body is fired up my leaders y'all know what I'm talking about whenever you go through like no fap and you

restrain your body gets into this place where it feels like you can run through a brick wall you get into that place where you just you want to run through a brick wall you want to you want to go you want to go to the battlefield you want to go to the battlefield my leader and you and you know you going to win in the battlefield cuz you you more pumped up than you ever been in your life that type of energy is dangerous at times and needs to be directed back into your wife my leaders if y'all have as much fun as this video let me know cuz I'm

having a good time here so those are the three scriptures my leaders and I could get deeper but I'm not going to keep you here for an hour those are the three scriptures that have helped me first and foremost Jesus Christ I give him the glory first cuz I wouldn't be here without him and my marriage wouldn't be working without him and his word wouldn't have helped me if I wouldn't reading his word it's his word that's giving me the strategy it's the Holy Ghost showing me what I need to do and what I need to fix and then second my wife I got a phenomenal wife I just have

to be honest my wife is absolutely amazing and I love her I couldn't be married to nobody else I'll be honest with with you the patience that she has with me is a patience that I've learned to also have with her and I try to share with everybody else lastly these three scriptures okay Ephesians 5:25 husbands love on your wives okay 1 Corinthians 10:13 States hey that Temptation that you going through is common but God is giving you a way out that way out is through prayer first and foremost and if you can take it to the next level fast and pray and let's get delivered because fasting and praying

takes down strongholds strongholds that's another video third come together and connect with your wife have intimate time make love okay make love with one another another self-control this scripture is talking about sexual immorality all right you can come come together dinner dates yeah that intimacy is absolutely essential and even I would say I can't say it's far greater but there's other ways to connect and be intimate as well too if there's some issue in your marriage where you can't make love and have sex you can do other things right but the principle is if y'all can come together and if y'all can connect connect there's something that happens in that

Lives will never be the same because this was a reminder that you want our marriages to thrive I rebuke the spirit of divorce in the name of Jesus I cast it out I cast it out of this leader right now give them a fresh desire Hallelujah for their marriage today moving forward it's the beautiful thing and one of the most beautiful things that we have here on this Earth so father we just want to say we thank you we love you we lift up the name of Jesus right now we magnify you Lord we seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus it's in your precious son Jesus mighty name

that we pray amen amen amen I love you my leader but Jesus Christ loves you more
