When you're seeing more attacks coming, more distractions, more being pulled away, not being able to begin and not being able to finish or you're in the race and you feel like you can't run your race no more and you starting to not be able to endure and welloing and you start to grow weary. We got to be vigilant. I got to be awake. I got to have the self-control not to fall asleep during this time. Our adversary, the devil, who I'm in the trial with, he wants to make sure that I'm found guilty. He wants to make sure that I lose the lawsuit.
Your opponent, your enemy, is looking for any way possible that he can get a edge over you, that he can win. win. He's looking for any way possible to keep you anxious, to keep you in cycles of shame, to keep you in areas where you just you always feel guilty. He wants to make sure that you don't feel loved by the father. [Music] [Music] My leaders first Peter chapter 5 verse 8. Be sober. Be vigilant because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour.
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Lord, right now we come to you with a repentant heart, heavenly father, and we ask for your help. Father, in this video today, Lord, I pray that you help my leader and I today understand through your word how to be sober, how to be vigilant, how to maneuver past the enemy that's roaming about seeking with lust, full intent to destroy us, to devour us, Lord God. And father, we're just praying that you continue to guide us, that you continue to lead us, and that you continue to protect us, heavenly father. Lord, I'm praying for protection over my leader today.
My leader who has possibly been distracted, distracted, my leader who has possibly been being pulled away from the things that you've been calling them to do. My leader who is dealing with a place of torment. My leader who is dealing with shame. Lord, my leader who is dealing with the enemy who has currently been devouring them, who's been currently destroying them. Father, I pray that we pull them out in this video today. Father, give me your word and let me explain it the way that you would have me explain it so that I can help your leader today. We thank you for this message. We thank you for this time.
Holy Spirit, you go before me right now. We love you and it's in Jesus mighty name that we pray. Amen. My leaders, you got something that you want to finish. Some of you got things that you want to start. And every single time you're about to go to go do that thing, go to go to that place, you're about to begin or you're about to finish it. One, the enemy doesn't want you to start, the enemy doesn't want you to finish. And every single time you either get pulled away, a distraction comes, a thought that you weren't even thinking about starts to occur.
So many different things begin to happen and you're wondering, Lord, what is going on? What in the world am I dealing with? Why in the world can I just finish this thing? What in the world is stopping me from even moving forward? I'm trying to proceed forward. Lord, you see me trying to pursue. You see me trying to go forward. I just can't seem to go forward. forward. What is it, my little win? It's time right now more than ever where we have got to be vigilant and we have got to be sober. Check this out.
First Peter 5:8, my leaders, it says, "Be sober." That word means to be self-controlled and to be watchful. Be sober. be self-control, which is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, and be watchful. So meaning first things first during a season where the enemy is attacking in ways that is looking to destroy you. I need to be watchful. And it takes self-control to be watchful. It takes self-control to be sober. sober. because there's a lot of other things that I can go into and begin to do that I'm no longer watch for the enemy no more.
And it says be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour. So be vigilant. This means to stay awake to keep alert. This means when I'm being vigilant all throughout the day that I'm awake, there's no time that I'm not alert. And this may seem a little obsessive to always have to keep on guard, but you got to keep on guard. And especially during a season where you're seeing more attacks coming, more distractions, more being pulled away, no no more not being able to begin and not being able to finish.
Or you're in the race and you feel like you can't run your race no more. and you starting to not be able to endure in welloing and you start to grow weary. We got to be vigilant. I got to be awake. I got to have the self-control not to fall asleep during this time. And the reason why we got to keep alert is because our adversary, the devil, your adversary is your opponent. And in Greek, the the the way that they use this word adversary, it's so interesting. interesting. It's your opponent in a lawsuit.
What that means is if I'm somebody just took me to court and if somebody just took me to court, my leaders, my opponent who I'm in the trial with, he wants to make sure that I'm found guilty. He wants to make sure that I lose the lawsuit. Your opponent, your enemy is looking for any way possible that he can get a edge over you, that he can win. win. He's looking for any way possible to keep you anxious, to keep you in cycles of shame, to keep you in areas where you just you always feel guilty. He wants to make sure that you don't feel loved by the father.
Check this out. Your adversary, the devil, is roaring around. He's roaring, walking about seeking. This word seeking used in the Greek is he's desiring. He's searching. Your adversary, your opponent is searching for you with lust. He's roaming around and with this lustful desire, he's seeking you. He's not seeking God. He's seeking you. He's seeking me. There's a scripture in Hebrews 11:6. It says that it is impossible to please God without faith. For those that come to him must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Look at that word seek. When you and I diligently seek the Lord, there's a reward.
On the contrary, the devil, your adversary, my adversary, our opponent, the one that we do not like, the one that we hate, is roaming about diligently seeking the reward of your demise, of my demise. That's what he's seeking. And if we're not sober, and if we're not, which is to be watchful, self-control, self-control, and if we're not alert, we're going to lose the lawsuit. We're going to lose the game. We won't be able to run this race. The word says this, weary not in welloing because after there's a reward, my leader, you've been running great. I just want to talk to you. You've been running real good, my leader.
You've been praying to Aba. You've been praying to God. The Lord sees you. He He hears your cries. The word says that he hears our prayers before we even pray them. He knows your thoughts, the ones you've been thinking. He knows the things that have been troubling you. And what I encourage you to do today is to keep praying and to keep seeking and to keep leaning and to be sober. To be sober is to be self-control. Self-control is the fruit of the spirit.
You know, the times that I believe I need self-control is when all of a sudden I'm going towards something I want to do or I'm focused on the Lord, but all of a sudden I start feeling these lustful desires. That's one. All of a sudden, I'm talking to somebody and maybe I get triggered and and I and I start to get angry and and it says, "Be angry yet sin not." So, I can get angry, but I shouldn't go towards wrath, right? I shouldn't get so angry that now I want to start fighting somebody. Somebody cuts you off on the road, you start screaming and cursing them.
You're with your loved ones and the enemy may use certain people or certain circumstances. circumstances. Well, you get offended. What are you going to do when you offended? I'm going to tell you many times the enemy has come to me. It's because, hey, I've been offended and when I get offended, I act a little different. Let's say my wife offends me. I got to be self-controlled. Listen, the enemy is doing every single thing that he can to get you out of that place where the fruit of the spirit lies. Self-control so that you can act out of character and so that you don't do what you ought to do.

And maybe I could possibly be a life coach and help you go through this next season of elevation and breakthrough. You know what I mean? I would love and I would be honored to be your coach. Now, the leadership challenge today is going to be based on this scripture. I want you to finish it. I want you to write. Okay? I want you to get a journal and I want you to get a notebook and I want you to write. Writing is a psychoot neuroactivity.
What that means is when you write, it causes you to focus. And I truly believe through my years of writing, God literally will use you as your act of writing and speak through you. He'll begin to give you ideas and thoughts that that literally you probably weren't even thinking about because you got so much that the enemy is trying to do. Remember, the enemy is trying to pull you away and he's trying to distract you. When we get into writing, we're legitimately focused. And that's what I want us to be. I want us to be sober. I want us to be alert and I want us to write.
And when we begin to write these things down, this is a lot of times where I'm able to expose the enemy. This is why I'm able to expose patterns. This is why I'm able to expose a lot of different things in my own life when I begin to write. Okay? So, I want to help you in this writing with a worksheet below. Check the link in the description. Do the homework. Okay? My leaders, be sober. Be vigilant because the enemy is roaring around as a lion seeking whom he may devour. The enemy wants to destroy you. Like it's not a game.
It's not a It's not a cute word to use. He wants to destroy you. If you ever seen a building get destroyed, September 11th, World Trade Towers where the terrorists flew the planes into the dang. There's much more ideas of what destruction looks like. It may seem like nobody wants to get you and nobody's coming after you, but the enemy is. And I'm looking for us to be alert. And the way that we're going to be alert is praying. praying. Praying and being watchful of what to pray for. What patterns have been occurring? Where do you see the enemy is trying to take you?
Where is he trying to pull you? What is he trying to cause you to do? That's called being alert. And if we can find where the enemy is trying to be subtle and trying to be crafty, we're not falling to that game again. So this is where we begin to pray. All right, my leaders. Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Father, we just want to say thank you for this time. Thank you for this moment. Thank you for this hour. Lord, we believe that you are covering us by the blood of Jesus. that we don't have to walk around being paranoid.
We're being protected and you've been protecting us in ways that we're not even aware of. And so, Lord, we want to acknowledge that you've been protecting us. And Father, this season, we're asking that you will give us the ability to be sober, self-control, to be vigilant, to keep alert, to stay awake, and to not allow the enemy any room to move in in our lives. Father, I pray over this leader that they will begin to finish the work that you've called them to do. Father, that they will begin to have the I'm talking about the passion and the drive to be able to continue to press forward.
That anybody right now that has been lacking strength, let them in this moment of prayer right now receive the strength to go out and do the work. Hallelujah. Father, right now, I just begin to pray that how the enemy has been distracting this leader, it'll no longer work anymore. Whatever they're supposed to finish, they will get finished in Jesus' name. Whatever they're supposed to begin, they will begin it in Jesus mighty name, Lord God. And Father, the lion, we declare, we decree that we are not afraid of this lion and we will trample over this lion as though it were a scorpion.
So, heavenly father, we pray right now that you would send your angels, Lord God, to continue to guide us, Lord, to continue to guard us. Hallelujah. and to continue to protect us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, heavenly father. And we render the weapons that have been formed against us, Lord God. Null and void. They will not prosper on this leader, heavenly father. So God, we just want to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you for your word, Lord. You are the way. You are the truth. You are the life. Hallelujah. And so we give the glory to Jesus. You are worthy to be glorified.
You are worthy to be praised. Hallelujah. So glory to God. Glory to God. Glory to God. Heavenly Father, so we just want to say thank you for this moment. Thank you for this time. Thank you for this word. It's in your precious son Jesus mighty name that we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. I love you my leaders, but Jesus Christ loves you more. Yeah.
